Lumpy wrote:@ZeinEizoku - Great Suggestions. I'll have to give that a try when I'm done with this one. Might take a little bit as I'd want to pick up a box of skelies from the fantasy line for part of the conversion. And ork posture is atrocious you're right. It's a real pain for positioning the orks head too as there really isn't enough room between the ork and the SM for it to go where the sculptor intended for it too.

Thanks. I am not an Ork user however, I just finished staring at a 4000 point ork army... they faced down my 4000 point Khorne army.... I have to wash the green blood off of my Berserkers lol... it was a mascara. And on that Mad Boy suggestion, my friend has an Ork Mad Boy with a SM helmet on his head like a hat LMAO. Frenzied Mad Boyz + Khorne Dreadnaught with Thunderhammer = Squish

EDIT: I am not saying it would be a fight, but no one, and I mean no one, can withstand the might of 45,000 US lawyers on a legal rampage...

I agree the first pose didn't look (too friendly) till it was pointed out. Though if the marine wasn't fully finished off the boy may have left himself open for a rather nasty blow somewhere.

Originally the whole concept is based on a gruesome act depicting the orks in their true non-comical spirit.

Can't wait to see it painted.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you ever tried.

Well I havent gotten as far as I would have liked over the last two weeks. However here's the model fully pinned and greenstuffed. I swapped out the knife blade with a sword from the Fantasy skeleton kit which I think worked out very nicely. It also gave me some more space to work with between the two models. The only thing I'm not sure of now is how to fit the head.

Wow Water effect takes forever to dry. I finally have the first ork finished and I'm working on the second one. I'm using the swamp base design detailed in the 40k radio webzine. If you haven't checked it out you should. http://www.40kradio.com/webzine
