great to see a whole army pic, and yellow marines are always a good thing.

Did you clip off the stormbolter ammo clips to convert your sternguard bolters?? I'm trying to figure out the best way to get that ammo clip for the sternguard without the same repetitive 5 poses!!

What great results you have gotten. I really like the red in the pods, it looks hot. The wash really made your marines. That one shot of the Sternie is dramatic. I love how we can look at the figs and see our painting skills improve. It is like green troops to Vets.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I think I took the ammo clips from the pintle mounted storm bolters you get on vehicle sprues. I've seen it done a number of ways though, there are some great ones in other threads in here using round drum clips (no idea where they're from though!).

Clearly two posts in two days wore me out!

Here's an up to date army pic though. just to prove I have been keeping busy. Sorry about the rather naff lighting and the shiny flash effect, I missed the natural light today.

Total list of squads:
Lysander & Pedro
2x Librarians (Termi and Power Armour)
9 Sternguard
5 Terminators
2 Deadnoughts
1 Ironclad (primed black)
11 Sniper Scouts (inc Telion)
2x Tactical Squads
2x Landspeeders
3x Scout Bikes
Predator
Whirlwind
Rhino
Razorback
3x Drop Pods

Next on the to do list is a Land Raider and 10 CC Scouts to fill it and to finish the Ironclad!

Pretty awesome jobs, you've got a good grasp of painting by now it seems, now you just need to learn tactics

Feels like I'm resurecting this thread but I havebeen busy the last 4 months. Not only have I been adding to the Ferrus Fists (now the Sons of Terra) but I've been starting an ork Waaagh and have become the proud father of my own little snotling. Anyway, here are some updates:

It's the end of April and I have one month until the tournament season which is May! I have tickets for two tournaments in May, both of which are 1750pt limits.

The first will be Warp Storm II - to be held at Maelstrom Games in Mansfield on the first weekend of May. This is a 2 day, 6 game tournament, I missed Warp Storm I due to the unexpectedly early birth of my son but this time I'll be there ready to take a whipping!

At the end of May is Open War 13, which is put on at Warhammer World in Nottingham by the 1st Company Veterans gaming club. This is a 1 day, 3 game event and I'm looking to improve on my last place finish at Open War 12 ... shouldn't be too tricky!

I'm planning to play my Marines at both tournaments and I'll post army lists and WIPs on the last few models I'm painting to complete the planned lists over then next few weeks.

Unfortunately the Orks are some months off being fully painted and I'm still proxying a few models to play 1500 pts so 1750 is a little way off yet. I hope to give them a first Tournament run out in the events scheduled for the end of the year.

Well, time for another of my infrequent updates to this thread. I came 15th out of 22 in Warp Sptrm 2 and tied for most sporting but sulked because the tie was decided by the hghest placing sportsman, which sadly was not me! Still great tournament and I'm looking forward to the next one, first though it's Open War at Warhammer World at the End of May. In the meantime I've been bulking out my Sternguard units and painting up my Ork Warboss as evidenced by the piccies below:
