Forget Guard.. CHAOS is what Dow2 needs.
Especially if the did it right with god specific heros, rather then daemon prince, sorc, and regular lord.
I have to say, I cant get no satisfaction killing nids any more then killing ants. I much prefer to kill panzee arrogant eldar or even shouty orks.

Nah, DoWII already has Space Marines. I think Tau would be perfect for the scale of the game. I can even see them doing Demons just for being the newest army.

That trailer really made me loathe Eldar more than usual for some reason. She didn't seem anywhere as cool or bad ass as the Ork and SM or hell even the Nids.

Heh, so you think that an Ork that kills his own team instead of the target, and a Space Marine whose tactical sense to said ranged threat is to angrily point his Chainsword at it (while wielding a Plasma Pistol), are more badass than the Eldar who shoots frikking lightning out of her eyes and blows up all the 'Nids in 1 massive explosion of force?
The 'Nids are badass, that I agree with. But they're 'Nids, what do you expect?

The Nids should be spontaneously dying on their own every few seconds because the heroes are killing them faster than they damage the heroes. Just like the tabletop.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Imperial Guard would do perfectly with the DoW 2 style of game play. Guard has way more character than a marine anyway.

3 heroic Tyranid Hive Tyrant repelling wave after wave of bloodlusty space marines. Completely logical.

It isn't like they've taken any sort of race allegiances into this to begin with. One of the earlier waves is a space marine commander with 2 apothecaries, and later on some Guard mobs show up. Logical for Eldar and Orks to fight, but a Marine? No. Thats not really the point. It's just a classic comp-stomp scenario to give casual players something to do other than get rolled by others who take this game as some sort of professional career.

Yeah, that made me scratch my head. I wonder what he did to piss the other Orks off. He looked like a mek, maybe they were tired of his inventions blowing up in their faces.

Just about sums up Starcraft for me...and in fact every RTS I've ever played. Comp stomps are just lame, but you can't play human opponents because all of them will curb stomp you in under 5 minutes.
Zerg rush kekeke.

Starcraft stopped being fun precisely 3.4 seconds after I first found out that it was considered basic play to have each of your build orders timed out to the second, with very specific actions and timings to follow, so that you would know whether you had a half-minute time advantage to kill your opponent with Zerglings or not. The idea of a specific build order you had to follow just to not lose was depressing itself.

I watched a game end once right after a failed Zerg rush. The Protoss player started off building cannons to defend his base, which owned all the zerglings with little effort. A few moments after that the Zerg player just gave up on the game, lol...
I've done the same thing though, I've tried rushing once or twice and when I fail and it's obvious I'm going to lose I just quit. Kinda got frustrated with RTS's at that point, when it seemed the only way to win was to rush the other guy before he rushes you.

Impressive Space Marine to hold off a Carnifex with a chainsword.
Although why a Zoanthrope CHARGED and didn't just fry them all with it's giant, pulsating brain I'll never figure out.
