Er, OK then...

Dan Simmons or Steven Erikson.

Definitely Jack Vance. He's still alive, but way too old, and certainly retired.

But, alive!

Amen to that. Galaxy in flames was done ok. The souldrinkers Omnibus was the only book I got rid of after I read it from my 40K collection.

Gwar! wrote:OH OH! I Know! They will get EVERY Horus heresy Writer to write about the Siege of Terra in advance, and then release them as a 27 Book Volume that only has one chapter of each authors book per volume, thus forcing us to buy them all.

I have a feeling you're very close even though this was a jest. It'll most likely be multiple books. If the attack on Prospero is two then the siege of Terra will be $$... erm... I mean many books for sure. As long as they are well written and don't turn into snore fests (Battle for the Abyss, Hello!) I'll happily buy them.

But my vote is for Graham McNeill. I love Abnett tremendously (Though he ends his books screwy to often), but I think Graham should get it.
But it'll most likely be Abnett since he's the big cheese of BL 40K. So it's a win win!

if gav thorpe touches it I will refuse to read. Has to be Grahm or Dan all the way.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!
