Edit: Scratch that, he's over the limit by 20 points, still, it would have been fun. I was looking at Grotsnik's points....actually hangon, how would he do?

Wazzdakka, turboboosts around while shooting his dakka kannon, sure he'll never hit anything, but noone can catch him save the jetseer.

@ Gornall: I've reconsidered the Jetseer with Mindwar, although he'd work best with Runes, Stones, and Fortune - putting him over the 160 limit.

I wanted to let the readers know how the game went... There were 14 players in the club and they brought some hardcore units. Two Grey Knight Grandmasters, a Black Templar Marshal, Imperial Fists Chapter Master with twin powerfists, Demon Prince with warptime, dark eldar wytch hyped up on crazy combat drugs witha 2++ save, a SM Chaplain with Orb of Antioch, an Eldar Avatar, a Destroyer Lord w/ SoL and the 3++ save wargear, Lash Sorceror with the "turn you to spawn" power, and two mega armor Warbosses. One guy mentioned wanting to bring a fully kitted cannoness, but settled for something else.

I think I survived as long as I did because I stayed out of everyone else's way and let the big guys duke it out. I was fourth to last on the table and only scored two wounds. The two ork warbosses and chaos sorceror were all that were left. The bosses were Slow, which kept them out of combat mostly and both the sorceror and myself had either stayed clear of everyone else or lashed them away. I had been running from the orks most of the battle and got to the other side of the table where the sorceror was and started pounding him with my reaper launcher - out of range of his lash - until he ducked out of LoS and lashed one of the bosses within assault range of me right after my turn.

I realized later that I should have charged the boss early on - 5 S6 power weapon attacks *should* have been enough to take them out - instead of flitting around cover and taking pot-shots. I didn't place in combat, but I did win best painted/converted by unanimous vote!

Did you say one dude had a chaos sorcerer with Lash of Submission and Gift of Chaos at the same time?

That is definitely not possible.

Hmm this could really go MANY ways. Depending on dice roll and such. Personally I can safely say ANYTHING Force commander related wouldnt last. My Orks have hammered so many of them down its sad. A boss on a bike as mentioned previously could do some damage. But really I think the Chaos/tyranid combo would come out on top. Then again tho, Ive seen MOTF do some REAL ass kicking

Hmmm, I wonder how a Biker Mek with a burna would have done?

Big Mek, Bike, Attack Squig, Burna, cybork

On the charge, he has 5 I4 power weapon attacks! And he's on a warbike, meaning he can use mobility and his constant smoke save to survive. A kombi rokkit might be a neat idea too (try for a lucky instant death shot on someone)

@fire4effekt: no named characters... otherwise Yriel's pretty awesome.

@KevlarPaperclips: I don't have a CSM codex, can you explain how it wasn't legal? The player is, as far as I know, not TFG - he's the club prez at the moment - and it might have been oversight on his part.

@Gavin Thorne: My bad, i completely forgot about Familiars. Normally a chaos sorcerer can only have one psychic power unless they have the mark of Tzeentch. But they can take a familiar which lets them take another psychic power. So you can have Lash and Gift of Chaos if you have a familiar, which just happens to be exactly 160 points. Sorry for the confusion.

Unless he tried to use Lash and Gift of Chaos both in the same turn. That i know is not legal.

Why dont you put a fusion blaster on him instead as its cheaper and you can insta kill stuff.

That Said my vote Autarch

Jetbike , Mandiblasters, laser lance, fusion gun

The only problem with your autarch is that if he doesn't kill what he is facing in the first round it's game over.

@KevlarPaperclips: thanks for clearing that up. As I recall, that was the exact setup that he used. He mentioned something about not being able to use his Force Weapon the same turn that he Lashed and I think he only used the Gift once, to no effect.

@Hollismason: that was the other route I was going to take, but was concerned about being in an extended combat and wanted to keep my range while preserving AP3. Not only that, but the Reaper Launcher gives him two shots and BS 6 lets him reroll 1's (which I was reminded of by the player who took the Avatar) for some pretty effective long range firepower. Without a Shining Spear Exarch to give him Withdraw, he turns into a glass hammer though, dropping from S6 power weapons to S3 CCW. Ugh.

Not sure what you mean by old, but post it anyway, it's just for fun. Only current, RTT-approved units were allowed at the club game, AFAIK.

Too many ++ Saves for Fusion Blaster to be effective. Sure instant death is fun but not with only 1 shot at 12". 24" Shot or Dual 12" shots both with reroll to save on a 2+.

You are all mistaken, the winner would one possessing incredible tactical genius. And being only 90 points what a sweet deal!

As if on cue, you hear two people singing from the stairwell, and the door is opened and a pair of very smelly, very dirty guardsmen stumble in, completely drunk, and covered in vomit, and immediately collapse unconsious on the porch. You drag them to their beds, realising that they will not be waking up for some time.

I can see it now. All the HQs are set up ready to battle, all of the sudden a titan is droped in the middle of the board.

Only one man with incredible tactical genius could pull this off...CREEEEEEEEED
