I voted A. Nothing else really makes a ton of sense, and I don't see it as horribly game breaking, but I guess I could be wrong.
I do see not allowing it, though, as it's a pretty clever use of rules overlap, which probably wasn't an intended consequence. The problem there is that we're getting dangerously close to reading rules based on some squishy idea of "fair play" which is always a problem.
I wouldn't have any problem with option B either. Yes, it breaks a rule, but I imagine it will make for better game play and less acrimony.

The platoon DOES have it's own specific rules about deploying from reserves... Pg 96 of the IG Codex.

If someone puts Stern in reserve embarked on part of the whole shebang, they can re-roll a successful reserves roll, potentially prolonging the sudden emergence of the vendetta swarm. This could cause later-game objective grabs to be extremely difficult to defend against (even more so than normal for even today's valkvet armies).

I voted B.
I think that bringing them ALL on with a single roll is game-breaking.
I also think that the rule of bringing on the entire platoon with one reserve roll is.. perhaps less important.. than bringing on all vehicles from a squadron.

Stern can't ride in a valkyrie since he's in terminator armor.
I'm also increasingly unimpressed with the idea of holding everything off the board until a last minute objective grab. Undoubtedly it's a tactic that has some potential, but I think there are a lot of ways to block against it. I'm not sure how non-tank transports like valkyries are going to clear an objective of a squad or two that are bunkered down on it. It's a high risk tactic, and one that will undoubtedly win a few games, but will lose big a lot.
I have no problem eliminating the tactic, as it's a bit of a loophole, but has anybody played with or against it? Is it that good?

I see no RULES nor ERRATA preventing terminator Armoured Models riding in Valkyries
