oh and any suggestions of what tank to get? i was thinking a chimera, or a leman russ. mainly cos atm every game i play against my freinds orks i dont have the firepower to flip his HORDE of trukks.

Get a Leman R and start laying down the fire with it, as with all things in 40k repetition is a good thing so 2 or even 3 LR is better than one.

You can experiment with using mechanised infantry using proxies for the chimeras for now but you will always want to bring a tank to the game.

The back story on all the guys is sweet. Love the marbo conversion, might have to steal some ideas there. Keep up the good work and keep posting! I vote for a regular russ, pie plate those orcs into oblivion.

I like the regular battle tank with three heavy bolter's I am also a big fan of the vanquisher . The executioner
is able to lay down the plasma love also .

I would second the utility of the vanilla Russ with HBs all round. Adding Pask makes it that bit more expensive, and yet so much more tasty

Against Orks you don't really need the Executioner's skills. If you're having issues with Trukks then maybe bringing along a couple of sentinels or Hydras would be better. Use the AC dakka to take out the trukks and then the Russ to mow down the squads as they stumble into the open

Orkses hate pie and templates true. But nothing says vicious sociopath like Flamethrowers a Hellhound would fit this army well!

if you want to stop their transport get a squadron of hydras which are very effective, also the LRBT varients help in that situation too, oh and hellhounds for the massed hordes..

lol thanx for the comments. what about the leman russ punisher? its jsut a heavy 20 weapon sounds like it could pummel orks into mulch. and tanks maybe?

incidently i have a sentinel will a heavy flamer which has basically spent every game being chased by my freinds killa kan. and it can do diddly squat cos it has a heavy flamer. ohh well. btw the basilisk converting is coming along well, and my commander now has a really menacing looking clawed hand. ill post the pics up ASAP. oh and whats the best way to counteran ork mega dread?......yes....he bought one and it DOESNT die!!

ok long time no post, sorry for that. however, some good news ive finished my basalisk to the best of my abilities, so now it jsut needs to be primed and painted. ive also bought some of my previous men into the fold, and im especially proud of the one whos been given a metal bretonian head the man with the Mohican (no, i cant spell) is a test. im thinking that might be the style of my vets. And the giant Chainsaw? well i gather that he willl either be an officer with a close combat weapon, or a preist with an eviserator.

These look freaking amazing.In relation to Orks they hate templates anything pie related on those boyz is bound to ruin their day.Fire by ranks works and the blitz that a Master of Ordinance can bring down.

I play Catachans (As a guard army) my platoons are armed with flamers so if the light show fails I can at least get a good gout of flame in before im whacked thats usually in static games.My Snipers work quite well as well especially the one that flies around in the "Eye in the sky" .

"Eye in the Sky" thats my Valkyrie is armed with twin missile pods and lascannon so he has good ballistics and defensive weapons (its run as Col Poleski's Valkyrie) the sniper is good at blatting many targets such as lone characters he works well with my other sniper on foot as well.

Im loving these so far. Can't wait to see what you do for vehicles for them

OK here my basilisk plus its dozerblade. the backround for the dozer is its an on the move interrogation site. the victims are chained and tied to the dozer and interrogated by my eviserator weilding induvidual. after theyve said all they can say, someone will either shoot them in the chest, or leave them to the mercies of the torturers massive chainsaw...
