I would like to try but this would be an elimination type deal with frontal charge. This would require alot of thinking as I would already know what I was planning and trying to find way to counter act what I plan to do.

You'd know what you'd have to do for each side and then force yourself to do it, then when you switch you'd be in the same situation.

I think if you did it right it would give you a lot of insight into how you play and how well your armies do when faced with the fact that conditions will never be optimal.

i do it all the time, mostly to try out new lists and tactics against the ways that many of my normal opponents play

I did a bit when I first got the AoBR set and wantedc to learn the rules a bit, but It's not that much fun, and people think it's hilarious to point out that you are playing with yourself

I tried, but it began to result in favouritism, so I stopped. Or maybe I should just try the complete aggressor. Attack what I know to be the strongest in both armies, and maybe suprise myself.

I used to play this by myself.

The best part is you always win. The worst? You always lose as well!

I have two armies (IG and Orks), and I also have them on the table all the time anyway, so I've played against myself.

I also like to use a bit of trickery when I play others, but when I play myself I just try to make the most tactically sound moves depending on what situation arises. No matter how you look at it, you can only get better by trying out different scenarios.

Anyway, when I play against myself I leave the game up, and just play a turn or two per day.

As for the thread title I would have gone with "Play with yourself?" But that's just me.

I once read a thread on the Bungie forums entitled "Do You Play With Yourself at Night?". The dude that started it wasn't even thinking about something dirty. It was quite funny, seeing the things that people said.

I've tried ti several times.
But always I played a newly configured army against an old one of mine.
I always encountered a tendency to be biased towards the new army.
