My Little Pony and Malibu Barbie....err, ummm. Wrong thread, yeah that's it.

--The whole concept of government granted and government regulated 'permits' and the accompanying government mandate for government approved firearms 'training' prior to being blessed by government with the privilege to carry arms in a government approved and regulated manner, flies directly in the face of the fundamental right to keep and bear arms.

I have to pick categories, not single toylines.

1) Legos + Clones

2) Giant Robots (From Shogun Warriors to the pre-G2 Transformers but plenty of Mecha stuff too, like Robotech, some even from the original lines the toys the American versions were based on)

3) G.I. Joe/Star Wars Sized figures (Zorro, Lone Ranger, Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, Space 1999, Visionaries, Lord of the Rings from the 1978 rotoscope film, others I am forgetting)

4) Bigger Action Figures (He-Man, Mego stuff, A-Team, old G.I. Joe, many more I am forgetting)

5) M.A.S.K. Scale figures (Wheeled Warriors, I know there were others this size but they are escaping my memory at the moment)

6) Miscellaneous stuff (Tons of army men, the fantasy versions of the army men, gaming minis from all the early companies, etc.)

Between generous relatives and too many trips to swap meets, I had at least a few toys from most American released toylines from 1976ish to late 80s (maybe a few into the 90s). Typically they would get mixed in the above categories for play rather than be stored as separate toylines (the Lego vault seemed to end up with lots of non-Lego style toys, I think Mom just tossed loose toys in there by default). When we started to RPG/Wargame, lots of the old toys were cannibalized for parts for vehicle conversions, terrain or the like, especially the Navarone set, Star Wars playsets & G.I. Joe/M.A.S.K. vehicles.

You know, I didn't even think of Lego when thinking of children's toys. They're so much more awesome when you're older.

Edit: Also, erector set.

Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.

Dude!! I had that exact toy when I was like 5! Aahh memories.

I had lots of batman and ninja turtles action figures, legos, transformers, any thing that shot little missles, gundams platic green army men, and I liked stuffed animals for some reason. I was an imginative kid so it didnt have to be an interactive toy for me.
