Yeah he made a terrible mistake. I could forgive him if he had just taken a free kick in his own half, but still...
Things like that happening have a lot to do with the turf they play on. Wet, and you get lot's of skid which makes the ball go faster after it makes contact with the ground. You get dinks in the turf too which can make a ball fly up from nowhere.
These weren't a factor though in the video. I think he just came out to get the ball and got caught out as he was already too far out
Looked like the ball bounced on a bald spot on the field.
I don't understand what the goalie was doing that far out, since he could've just hung out around the penalty spot waiting for the ball to roll to him. He wasn't even allowed to use his hands where he was standing...
1. It was a joke. Get off my ass.
2. It was a google search. Get off my ass.
3. Screw the damn demotivational poster, it's the picture that counts. Get off my ass.
Wait, are you claiming to be a homosexual who likes soccer? Because that's what I'm getting.
feth you man, feth you. Brings up another question. Do you have to be a homosexual to like soccer?

I have no reply that can't be construed as homosexual.
I knew it was a joke. Sweet lordy, it came out harsher than expected. Pardon, good sir.
Sorry man. I've had a terribly gakky week. Didn't mean to take it out on you or anyone else.
I don't care for soccer. American football is better, I just put that up because I thought it was funny someone could be so lucky.

Way better the american football. it actually take skill to play.
You definitely have to be the kid who gets the gak kicked out of him by football players and most other athletes. So you pick soccer as a sport to help build running endurance so you can run away from the big ones. To bad most football players are capable of running like soccer players. For the record I hate sports, military PT is the only way.

Football is also useful for Cardio-vascular fitness, agility, flexibility and co-ordination. There hasn't been an American football player born who could outrun Thierry Henry or Theo Walcott. Or that could kick harder than Roberto Carlos. Or catch better than Peter Schmeichel. Anyone who thinks football is gay has two choices: Say it whilst standing on a packed terrace in a northern football stadium or say it to Manchester United and England's Wayne Rooney, a former boxer with almost super-human levels of fitness, agility, balance, and toughness. Up to you.
Interestingly, the term 'Soccer' originates here in Britain - it comes from 'asSOCCiation football' and dates to just after the turn of the century, IIRC. So stop whining, it's perfectly reasonable for Yanks to call it that - they already have a sport they call 'football'.
Rugby.

Wrong. My hatred is from the popularity of american football.
Also I'm a boxer not a soccer player.

I played football and soccer in high school. Club soccer in summer. School affiliated football in fall. I was the biggest dude on both teams. Figure that out.

The girls game the Septics call football is actually 'American football'. That's like rugby for wimps. American football players need the reassurance of body armour before they will dare scrum down; they also have need for dancing teen girls by the touchline to bestow an comparative illusion of manliness, provided the players are also sufficiently padded with helmets and oversized shoulder pads.

Not sure about british "football" but do you have players on the plus side of 300 pounds who could flip over a Volvo hatchback on their own?
If I had to stare something like that down I'd wear armor too.
Also, has anyone been killed or become a quadriplegic for life due to injuries sustained during a british "football" game? American football has, google it.

There are two main English football games played worldwide today, the true comparison is not between football and American football, but between Rugby football and American football.
Rugby football is like American football without the pretty colours and the padding, and the constant stops.

Both American football and British football have their advantages
British style football
Plus another reason Brazil just won the Olympics
American football has its proponents

Well in US football defense-their criminal rapsheets are longer than anyone else on the planet, except basketball players.
