Yay!!!!!
You managed to finish. They all came out great.
Were those skeletons there when we were playing?
We should get in a rematch if we ever have the time.

@G3Spoon - Thanks, man. My painting hand was a bit cramped, but got in under the wire. Those skeletons were on the bases, guess you just didn't see them as they were primed black so blended in too well!

Have you tried painting the edges of the bases black? IMO it gives it a more 'finished' feel than the grey.

Great job so far! I'm especially impressed by your bloodletters.

I thought about black for the bases, and might still go back and change them. Part of the reason I went with grey was to get a more unified look for the bases to provide some coherency in appearance for the army. Pulling from all 4 chaos powers otherwise makes the force look a little too schizophrenic.

hey paul...regarding the schizophrenic nature of an undivided daemon list color scheme, i'd try harmonizing the colors more...this is what i mean...

you can use mix in green to shade the red and vice versa so that would help your bloodletters and plague bearers remain distinct yet still have some coherancy...then after the red/green shadow you can shade with a deeper turqouise/blue/black for the deepest shadows...to tie in with the flamers...

when you start mixing different colors you can help give your army its own distinct look...also helps to wash some of the colors that youre using on your models in your bases as well...should give it a try! (:

Love your skulltaker conversion! I missed this deadline too, but I should have stuff up by thursday - just need to finish the screamers for my chariot and I am done

Thanks Somnicide! I have to admit, what really slowed me down this last round was the converting, and just plain assembling of the Juggies. I squeaked in under the deadline, but there wasn't as much attention to highliting and shading as I had been doing previously.

I've actually got all of my assembly done for the next round - unfortunately, it's raining way too hard to do any priming! Always something...

So take that time to touch up the models you felt you rushed on :-)

(or build square bases... but you didn't hear that from me and I will deny it)

The variety in the Tetragon keeps coming...here's the next round of models, a Khorne Soulgrinder and some Tzeentch Horrors(with Changeling). I'll be adding more Horrors to the army later, but these models come in at 250 pts with their upgrades.

I decided, why not embrace the pinkness of the pink horrors?

For this month's 250 points, I painted up a Daemon Prince of Nurgle, and a second squad of plaguebearers(with noticeably rustier plague weapons to help differentiate between the two squads). I also started work on a Keeper of Secrets for out upcoming "Thunderdome" Arena combat event, but he's still a work in progress.

Wow, I can't wait to see how that keeper ends up looking - it is looking great as is!

@Somnicide - yeah, I have to admit I actually love the look of the models when they're primed white and then just washed in black. If only I'd thought of that for my paint scheme at the start of building this army, I would have had a very fast job getting them to tabletop...

@Antman677 Thanks Anthony, best investment I made for working on these daemons was the GW wash set. I love those washes!

It took a bit to get the pics up, but here's Shu'don'tell, my Keeper of Secrets. He'll be hopefully acquitting himself well in the Thunderdome arena today.

Thanks LordBoJangles. The KoS performed pretty well in the Thunderdome event...at least until some sore losers decided to use Grey Knight Grand Masters to fight me and the other daemon player.

Well here it is, the end of another round and another 250 points completed. Here's my second soulgrinder(again with phlegm) and 5 more horrors. I decided to make them blue horrors this time, not just for variety, but this way, if I for some reason want two small squads of horrors it'll be easier to split them up.

By the way, a little caveat which I know others can relate to: these look much better in person. I have far from an ideal photographic situation for my minis, so they tend to get a bit blown out by the flash. But enough whining, here they are:

Another month, another round of the TOMG. For this one, I painted up a Great Unclean One, and two Plaguebearers with icons, bringing my current army points total to 1750. One more round to go!

Thanks guys, but the biggest props have to go to Ultraforge for sculpting such an awesome "Greater Plague Demon." Sadly, looks like GW felt it was too awesome so they've discontinued it.
