I pissed around at one crappy job to another. Now, I'm getting into college and I am turning my life around. It's all because I got married. It's a distrubing morning to wake up, roll over to my wife, and realize, I am semi-responsible for this person's well-being.

It's a joke people, and a bad one,

After High school:

I enrolled in the community college and got me a job working in the tourism industry.

After Graduating College:

I was already looking for a job 2 semester from graduating college. I got me a "mickey-mouse" job in addition to working the job I had in college. That sustained me until I got my career job.

So... did it involve you walking around in Disney land in a costume...?

I guess I'm in a sort of same job... admin stuff...though that's the first time I've heard of 'mickey-mouse' job...had to google it...LOL.

Did an extra year of buisness studies, mainly as at 11-17 I had no blinkin idea what I wanted to do with my life.

Finally figured out I wanted to write at around eighteen, but hobbies and distractions plus poor paying jobs stopped me focusing on that one thing.

I'm easily distracted some days, its a pain.

Spent about the same time over the last 18years unemployed as I have been employed.
Got lucky in 2004 when my mother started a buisness and brought me in at a much highier wage than my qualifications would normally allow.

I have written two novels, not happy with either, or confident enough to try and publish them.
So I have been focusing on my writing the past two years and actually setting up plot, background work before I write a fresh attempt next year.

Only thirty five, baring a bus or worse, I still feel I have plenty of time to get the novels I want to do written.

Dropped out of school at 17 as I was having an awful time there, and went to college. Wasted a year in college when in turns out the tutor taught us the wrong modules so the entire class had to start over again.
At 18 I got a part-time job in a BT directory Enquiries, eventually got sick of college and moved onto working full time.

There's a reason they put it in a highrise office block, I can't imagine I'm the only one who felt like jumping :p

I went to Uni for a year but ended up dropping that due to going a bit nuts with some problems I was having in the place I was living, it's hard to cope financially when all your stuff is being stolen ><

I've now basically been hopping from call centre to call centre, trying to get some direction. I'm working part time at the moment and looking at maybe starting from college-level again and not making an ass of things now.



That, and I should probably stop being a bum.
