That is not ninja tau, Rogueeyes, that is a hybrid list.

Ninja tau puts a commander on the board with a positional relay and he will jrj/jsj/hide/cower/whatever while bringing 1 unit a turn on until 4 or 5. The bulk of the army hits then.

Hybrid starts with a portion on the board and has no 5th turn punch compared to true ninja.

It works a lot better as well to countering threats. With fast or long range units held in reserve you can meet threats exactly where you need.

For instance a Great ability is to leave 2 broadside in reserve and meet oncoming armour or troops.

Using full squads of Pirahnas , etc..

I list that properly uses positional to protect situational units is a fantastic list in that it can meet threats.

The Tau army does not have a "multipurpose" jack of all trades unit despite what people want to believe about Crisis suits they generally perform better with specific goals IE this is my meq / this is my light armor. Etc..

Tau Firewarriors used as a gun line are horrible.

Also, a majority of the tau army can either be twinlinked or ballistic four so marker light support is not completely neccessary.

Destruction of armor transports as well as fast troops is the number one priority in firing with tau. Everything else is secondary.

Tau lose in the close range game of assault. Minimizing assaults against you is a key priority.

Now for a " Positional List"

Tau commander w/ Positional Relay , Missilepod / plasma (fireknife etc..

crisis suit x 2 w/ twinfusion , flamer

Crisis Suit x 3 w/ twin missilepod

Crisis suit x 2 w/ Fireknife

Troop
2 Kroot
1 firewarrior no transport
fast attack
Pathfinder

h. Support
2 Broadsides
Hammer head

A cheap army to field and play it takes advantage of positional relay with multiple units able to either deepstrike or come in outflanking.

it has the ability to del with AV12 and ability to deal with AV14 etc..

It has a very small foot print but is also mobile.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
