Fair enough makes sense to me.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

sounds like a solid plan.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Some nice sculpting work going on here. I particularly like the Highlander.

Apart from a little oversize issue on the hats, I think you've got these bob on! Top job!

Have you seen the plastic boxed sets from Victrix? I don't know how much you'd be spending on Catachan heads but I reckon the Victrix kits may help with uniformity and cut down your effort a bit.

£20-00 for 52 miniatures that can be used for backpacks, heads and a few extras (like drummers and standards):

The Peninsular British may be of most use.

I just thought that it would be easier to use existing Shakos rather than to have to sculpt each one individually (unless you were planning on a bit of casting of course).

Thanks so much Inso, those look more to GW scale than Perry Miniatures. I shall get some and try them out.

I wouldn't have a clue what to do when it comes to casting so those could be perfect.

The reason i was planning to sculpt it all myself was to recycle my 6 year old guardsmen which where my first army, hence the awefully painted parts.

No worries . You've got a nice theme to these and it will be good to see a few completed (with paint).

I like the new rifleman. I think that headgear works.
