Yes, it clearly makes every faction sound undefeatable. But reading between the lines one can guess that Cygnar is shooty and Khador isn't, etc. Just wanted to see if these things have carried over into Prime MkII.

I'm from the future. The future of space

It sort of has.

There's been enough model and rules releases that with the right caster, jacks, units and solos, you can pretty much make any type of army with any faction.

Obviously there will be exceptions. For example, Khador has no arc nodes other than the Old Witch having one. So you can't necessarily make the arc node spell assassination list.

I guess my point is that you can take Deneghra and 4+ bone jack arc nodes or you can take Terminus and a swarm of 30 mechanithralls.

I think that describing factions having a certain playstyle is more or less a stereotype. Khador doesn't have to be slow and tough. Cryx doesn't have to be super speedy. You can put together impressive Cygnar forces without concentrating on shooting. The stereotype might be true enough times to be useful, but it probably shouldn't be counted upon as truth.

Hope that made sense.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

Ah, thanks very much for that. Makes for a better game but a tougher choice. Man, I wish those damn books would get here.
