easy enough, they only get to choose ONE power, and one additional power at +x amount of points, they all get power weapons (for free) but a force weapon upgrade cost so many points.

if you include a combat squad of librarians they must be lead by an Epist Librarian at standard points cost.

so limit the amount of powers (per model), limit the amount of force weapons unless they want to pay more points.

If you start at 35pts for each additional Librarian (or librarian squad leader), charge 15pts for force weapons, and charge say 15pts for additional power, that's 65pts a model. Plus Epist Lib at minimum 150pts.

you are looking at a ten man squad going for 735 pts. that is without upgrading the Commander Librarian. if you mixed it up, gave half powers and the other half force weapons, then it drops the squad to 600 pts. with no upgrades at all the squad is 465pts.

drawback is also HIGH points cost lol

Everything i've read at least recently has been that they have unknown origins. I like that there is a chapter that specializes in Librarians. They have chapters that specialize in just about everything else (blood angels = assault, Imperial Fists = defensive formations, etc) I'd love to see some sort of special rules for the Blood Ravens, cheap Librarians, squads of librarians, librarians as upgrades to squad leaders, would be super awesome! It makes me want to start a small army with like twenty different librarian models to choose from lol

They're called Grey Knights, and they suck.

Grey Knights eliminate deamons, and they aren't all librarians.

They're on par with most Epistolaries, in terms of Psyker potential, actually.

Not really. The Grey Knights just don't train themselves like Librarians do. They train to fight as one psychic entity, for all intents and purposes.

I'm a Blood Ravens player, I own a termie librarian. I think they're somehow linked to the Thousand Sons Legion. Blood Ravens like their Drop Pods, we see that in the opening cinematic in DoW. I'm trying to make an army with about 5 of them.

Squads of libbies would be very cool, maybe similar to Eldar Warlocks? That would make them cheaper, they could be Lexicanums or something. Maybe if they made a Gabrielle Angelos Model and rules, he could have chapter tactics for the minor libbies thing. Perhaps you could give your sarge powers, or replace him with some sort of minor libby?

Blood Ravens attatch Librarians, Terminators and Scouts to their companies, do they not, rather than having them separate?

we've mentioned all of the above, though i am still currently reading "Dawn of War" onibus (sp?) Gabrielles command squad is rather unique, scout vetran, terminator sarg, Father Librarian, tech marine, and two additional librarians (from 9th company) granted this is twords the end of the book, but still... its classy i like it.

I was first introduced to Gotto with Eldar Prophecy, since my main army is Eldar, and there seemed to be no other books about them I bought it.

Gotto is not a writer of really bad books, he creates frankenstien monsters and brings forth these undead literary abortions into the world.

I don't know what to tell you about this book. But I know one things I am sure that gotto gets a sentance description of an army/race and uses that as a sole context to his grammical diaherra. As evident with his love of multi lasers.
