The fact you whined about not taking first place (A LOT) says it all to me.

The responses in YMDC will vary as people interpret RAW and RAI in various ways, but many major tournaments (and even more minor tournaments) will often use the INAT FAQ for the sake of consistency and predictability, barring an official word from GW. So in many places, the answer will be exactly the way they played it in that game. If you go to a tournament with either a PBS or Stubborn units, you may want to check with the TO at the start just so you don't get a nasty surprise.

/Threadjack off.

OK Now I understand... INAT FAQ is no more official that any other "house ruling", and, as such, it is not used around here (nor in official tournaments like UK GT Heats and so on)...
Thanks for answering... no need to open another YMDC to discuss a house ruling...

Ah, I notice the location. Guess INAT is probably a lot more widely used stateside. In my area, at least, it's pretty much understood that it's being used unless stated otherwise.

I've read both battle reports, great work guys.

Now onto the Weaken Resolve vs. Stubborn question. Why does it matter? All stubborn does is allow you take unmodified break tests based on your Leadership value, weaken resolve changes your base leadership value itself for that turn. Why would stubborn even come in to question in the legality of targeting Weaken Resolve?

Also Adam question, how many Psykers could you use when you dropped leadership out of a Chimera? Around the bunker/HQ up here it's been worked that the Psyker's still need to draw line of sight so you can only use 4 out of a Chimera. Just wondering what was the 'norm'.

You only need one, the power reduces by the number in the squad, not the niumber that can see.

Yeah, I've been playing that all I need is LOS from one of them- the power is just reduced by the amount of psykers in the squad.

Also, the INATFAQ says that Weaken Resolve isn't a shooting attack, and as such the squad can even run or shoot their pistols in the same turn they use Weaken Resolve. I personally think it's silly that they can shoot or run in the same phase, but thats how the INATFAQ says it.

Thanks for the all congrats (everyone who congratulated me), I'm happy with how I did, though perhaps I do sound a bit whiny in the batrep. I'd obviously have liked to win, but I AM very pleased at my result- best I've had thus far. There are plenty more of these tournaments for me to try to crack, after all

You qualified for Vegas, I think thats pretty much reward enough there. Great showing with the guard and I am glad you had a good time at a WC run tournament and thank you for the kind words on how they ran it.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

We also use it here in Manila..black and white beats using a d6 anytime, and before any official tourney it is specified that the latest INAT FAQ is used, so if you don't read up it is at your peril...
