its been a while and i havent had alot of time to paint.
but im on holidays atm so i have finally some free time =)
here is my emperors champion + crusader marines still in progress.
the eyes are done and i quite like them.

They look brilliant, better than those first pictures, the highlights are brilliant, less is more really

Hello, great job! So how did you exactly paint them? Did you base them just black and paint the red, or did you attach the head and shoulder pads separate after painting?

well i paint fully attached mini's.
so they are all sprayed black then i used the citadel spray gun to spray 50/50 miech red and scab red.
the pads, helmets, backpacks were painted black and then drybrushed with the adeptus battlegrey, then washed with badab black.

my advice would be to leave the pads, and helmets etc. off and spray them black seperately. its almost painful blacking out 10 models.

if enough people are keen then i will do a tutorial for people who wish to paint flesh tearers

The drybrush doesn't show very well, you could try making a lighter grey by mixing in codex grey or even fortress grey They look great otherwise.

the dry brush is just meant to give the indent lines in the legs and arms depth, also to cover up some of the wash.

so now i just need to touch up that squad and get some of the purity seals i missed. i based them today, so they are all snowed up!!!!

once i get all the eyes and metal done, i will paint the next squad of 7 up and then i will move onto the dreadnoughts then the terminators, sword brethren and then get some tanks together. so its really starting get underway!!! im quite excited. personally i think they look good and they game very well.
