I remember in the second episode of Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, the guy in the video/comic shop says something along the lines of:
"Hey (insert name), put down the Warhammer and listen to this..."

I've been trying to get up the courage to watch that thing for weeks. I should record my reaction via webcam. Bet it's gonna be just like that "grandma watched two girls one cup" video.

"Well, isn't the enemy of your enemy, like, your friend? Or whatever? Can't they team up?"
"Not exactly. In this setting, the enemy of your enemy is still a floating, greasy, armored brain."
"Well, what about his enemy? Maybe you could be friends with him."
"No, because that guy is a mechanical horror in an undying battle shell. He sails from world to world in a flying tomb, serving gods who eat hope."

In a Canadian (I think) show called Till Debt Do Us Part, one episode had a guy with a good sized collection, mostly Lizardmen. The host derided him quite mercilessly for spending so much on little toys. Go figure.

To be fair, if you do spend more on toys than you need to live comfortably, then you need to stop worrying about the toys.

Nanomachines inside their bodies enhance and regulate their abilities. Genetic control. Information control. Emotion control. Battlefield control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control. Core has changed. The age of deterrence has become the age of control. All in the name of averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction. And he who controls the battlefield, controls history. Core has changed. When the battlefield is under total control, war... becomes routine.
