I agree Pedro is totally ULTRAMARINE. Just like I run him.

A couple of questions... I'm fairly new and don't have the codex right in front of me.

First, LC counts as a power weapon right? I was taking the PF to battle against tanks and monsterous stuff. I don't mind losing the extra attack because Pedro will be there to give everyone a +1. I guess maybe I'm a little confused too. Sorry like I said I'm a bit new. You get +1 to attack with the pistol because it counts as an assault weapon right? and the PF does not?

Next, the only REAL reason I took the assault marines is because staying within the 1500 points they are cheaper than a ten man TAC squad. Plus they get their drop pod for free. I'd love to take the other if I could find the points.

thanks for your help

Right to break it down:

Power weapon gives +1 attack when paired with a pistol.

Lightening claw is a power weapon that grants you re-rolls to wound, but does not get +1 attack when paired with a pistol.

Powerfist is a power weapon that doubles your strength, but does not get +1 attack when paired with a pistol.

Your sternguard Sarge has a Bolter and bolt pistol. The bolter has special ammo, so if you are giving your sarge a special CCW then it is the pistol that goes. Thus no matter what weapon you give him you won't get the +1 attack for double armed as you will have given up your pistol. Thus you can either have a power weapon or a power weapon that re-rolls to wound for the same points with the same number of attacks. So you always go with the option to re-roll to wound. Obviously you could still go with the fist but this is more expensive but gives you other advantages (ID, great against MCs and tanks).

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Thanks for explaining that for me, its much appreciated.

Maybe I will go one and one, or magnatize and customize on the go....
