It is important to recognize that not all paints will come off with the same stripping agent. GW's acrylic water-based paints come off very easily with simple green or equivalents. Others may require diluting harshers agents and stronger brushing to fully remove.

It is also important to be careful when brushing because it is very easy to break swords/limbs/etc when trying to get down into deep crevices. I've found it much easier to simply disassemble the models before brushing (they usually come apart fairly easily because they are weakened by most stripping agents) so you don't damage anything. Of course then it is also a good idea to put the sink plug in if you're using that to run warm water over them as you brush.

Very true. In fact, some of the Krylon primer paints actually bond to plastic.

Hey guys ive just been stripping some plastic CSM i got off ebay and when i strip them they do come out quite a bit darker that theyre original colour, the actual paint is gone but its defo changed the colour of the plastic.

Is this normal or am i doing it wrong??
