Another great game in the books... I made a few tactical errors from rustyness: forgetting centigor have move though cover; fighting the Minotaur combat before the general's which allowed the clanbrothers to get in on (and win) two seperate combats...on my turn!! It turned out ok in the end because it took most of zekes dwarves away from the northstone... But that was a convenient fluke. We attracted an even larger crowd than last week... Although part of that was probably due to the anticipation on table space opening up . We are taking this week off, as Zeke takes the dwarves to cap city carnage, but the next battle will be up on time next week... Expect either an underground battle, or summoning an ancient shaggoth!

Yep, definitely made some errors myself there. I had the chance for first turn, but passed it up, thinking there'd be time to react when a beast-herd and dog unit showed up behind me. Wasn't counting on the Staff of Darkoth to get my gyro charged, and then an overrun into my main combat res unit, *with* my general. I was feeling the pressure before that happened, and it only got worse after.

Some great moments there, though. My gyro didn't really do a lot, but surviving getting charged in the rear twice wasn't too shabby, and he even killed a Foe-Render. Really getting attached to ol' Hengil.

Another nice moment was the last turn, when my hammerers, already engaged to the front by centigor took a big unit of dogs to the flank as well. I saved a ton, hit back hard, won on musician, broke both units, and panicked the remaining beasts off the board, endearing me to the Wood Elves...

I think we'll have something pretty nice cooked up for next battle. More to come...

I must say this is one of the coolest narrative battles I've seen in a long time. I hope you guys can get back to it eventually.

Thanks Greenleaves. I hope so too. Kiwidru's been scarce lately- so I'm not sure what's up, but hopefully we'll be able to work up a new installment!
