Hm the two headed dog is a sign of Morkai, a kind of guardian of the realm of dead, if I understand it right. This could be some cult of Morkai, either batteling the undead or embracing the undead (might use the zombie wolfs from fantasys vampire counts for fenrisian wolves
Otherwise, red is the colour of khorne, and the khorne theme has always been close to the SW. (just a bit obvious and I think it has been done several times before)

Now, that not a bad idea, I even have a few undead bits laying around.

More suggestion like this please

Well, you don't have to base them specifically on the space wolves chapter. Even if you really like the norse/viking theme, it doesn't mean they are automatically space wolves. Why not just make your own fluff for the chapter, taking the norse/viking theme with you, and base them on that. The space wolves codex would be used as that is their fighting style

I'd think that zombies/undead, unless done very carefully, would fall too close to a Nurgle theme. However, interpreting Morkai as a more of a violent harbinger of death would allow you nicely tie it together with the Khorne worship.

I'd suggest throwing in some Khorne Beserker bits especially the chain axes, as the axe is a very Norse/Viking weapon.

Yeah I know according to the SW fluff there was genetic instability making the first successor chapter a failure yadda yadda (the Blood Angels don't seem to stop trying though) and the harsh Fenrisian climate likely keeps the population of worthy aspirants low... but one nice thing about the general 40k fluff is that it leaves a LOT of room for personal invention.

If you look at just general 40k history there were many periods of near chaos, over-thrown leadership and experimentation in the Imperium and it's great armies. At any given point the old or new High Lords of Terra could have attempted the creation of a new SW successor given maybe a boom in population on the planet due to a period of climate stability. Your army could also just be a 'Great Company' that changed it's colors and heraldry after some significant event in their up-start history. In the SW codex you already have Bran Redmaw's company and the Gunnar Red Moon company - either of which could have easily justified going 'red'.
