There about 3 mm taller than the spikes on a CSM helm. So they are indeed sinister! and thank you for the good comment

Thanks for the scale example. A legion of them on a tabletop would indeed be good. And no problem. Credit where credits due.

Edit: Plus creams/white paint jobs tend to be hard to pull off. You aren't looking for an easy job at all are you?

Ah I meant the white necron scheme not being as easy as say some of the metallic ones you can do. Nice one on the guitarist job. Have fun with the festival.

True scale making the model smaller or bigger in compared to the rest of the armies as it is explained in there fluff . So a true scale marine should be 7' tall so you would try and make them bigger . necrons are even taller .

usually a guardsmen is considered " man size " so they are usually used as the scale .

I'm curious where you got that number... A few years ago, metal mold tooling cost something like 100-200 thousand USD.

These days its 20-50 thousand USD tops.

As for guardsmen, I think you will find that most gamers feel they are too big.... unless you are referring to the old metal guardsmen ranges (steel legion, valhallan, mordian, praetorian, tallarn) or the forgeworld ranges (DKoK, Elysian).

The arms and legs don't look bad, but I don't like the lack of neck. Makes it look too "head in chest".

I think the first guy looks a bit tense. Too short neck, and upper arms. Other than that, they are really cool. Will look intimidating on the table.

can you post a pic of your true scale necron next to an unmodified one? i'm having trouble seeing the difference but i'm not *all* that familiar with the necron models outside of playing against them (never had an army of them myself).

correct, but i'm asking if you can post a pic next to a normal necron. someone could convert an ork nob into a warboss but you won't necessarily appreciate the handywork until you see it next to the original. if you can't, no big deal.
