OW MAH BRAIN!

The Land Raider has greater maneuver, and threat radius than your Wraithlord. Also, the enemy will be taking 2 such Raiders, and proper fire-support, the Land Raiders have Smoke Launchers...

So this Marine list has 2LR and 5 TH/SS Terms so we're looking at around 680 for three units as well as some yet unnamed "proper" fire-support. The WL has 6" move with move through cover and can run for d6" bypassing difficult terrain test so your still going to be in Bright Lance range for the most part or with in one turn you'll be there. Just because they run 2 LR's does not mean that a Wraithlord is not a threat...yeah please don't shoot at it, or move back when it gets close enough to launch an assault.

Sorry Beastwoe, for a semi hijack/flamewar. As you can see most people are passionate about armylists and unit useage. I hope that maybe something posted here helped to answer your question.

I recently faced an Eldar player and was shocked when i found out Wraithlords had wounds!

As a Marine/Imp guard Player I assumed they'd be armoured walkers! Does this not make them more vulnerable and therefore less appealing as an Eldar player?

Proper fire support usually would mean 2x Rifleman Dreads, 2x Typhoon Speeders (or 3x MM+HF versions, since these Raider armines tend to be of the Vulkan Variety), and 2x Rhinos w/ Multimelta Tacsquads. It is quite possible to fit this into a 2000-point list without issue. The point is normally to stop enemy vehicles from return-fire before before the Raiders disgorge their cargo; statistically, the odds of a Bright Lance dread doing more than tickling a Land Raider remain quite low.

The Wraithlord has a charge range of 12 (not fleet); the Terminators have one of 20. They have Invulnerable Saves and weight of attacks. Wraithlords have neither.
