I realize this was an old post but I've seen it repeated and I'm calling BS on it now. The "collector's models" was just a category they came up with on the website to group old models. Gav's novels came AFTER the models they didn't inspire them at all. According to Lexicanum the first last chancer novel was "13th Legion" in 2000. The Last Chancers are in my 3rd ed Imp Guard codex from 1999. Just so you know, cause that bugged me. (this is at least concerning the last chancers, I don't know about guant's ghosts)

Cleaned up models do look better, but I'm not a fan of all the bright colours. However, the idea behind each squad being different colours is a good one.
