Good argument.
We're talking a damge level in the tens of billions of $.
*citation needed*
Current estimates from analysts looking at the potential dollar imapct in assessing whether or not British Petroleum is going to deep six are looking at $35Bn to $50Bn, based on a matrix of comps from ~1,000 oil spills to define a per bbl cost X bpd estimates of the outflow.
Very nice. A cursory examination of that would seem to indicate that it refers to 'damage
s' as opposed to 'damage'. People have speculated that the spill will cost billions in compensation, but that's not the same as saying that the oil spill has caused tens of billions of dollars worth of damage, at least not directly, as dogma rightly pointed out.

Hmm. Grey and cloudy with a chance of rain. But then, I DO live in Manchester.
Dude energy is my business.
And?
Plus I live here.
And?
I had clients with operations in Nigeria. They bailed. Having their employees contually kidnapped does that.
Note that I didn't say that things like that don't go on in Nigeria, just that your given reasons for why that happens are pretty much beneath contempt. If energy is your business, then you should be aware of what is causing militancy amongst residents of the Niger delta.
