There is four more possible that can be hit but it is very iffy.

That had to be the dumbest BA player not to run so not to make his unit a tasty template target and the luckest Ork shot ever. That is like a unit of grots killing a full strength Abbadon in one round of CC. It is possible, but this is something that happens only once in a blue moon so saying that DC suck because of the freak occurence is not being fair to the unit. I would just say the player sucks not the unit.

QFT... only an idiot would have done what that BA guy did. or a newb. But if you have 30 DC models you obviously have been purchasing a bit...

Well, to start off we play anything from 3000 - 15000 point apocalypse games over a weekend or several weekends. It may have been 21 or 22, the specific number wasn't quite so important, it was a bad deep strike for him that put one of his death company units in range of my tanks ahead of his tanks and titans. we play on a game table the size of 4 regulation tables, with 4 people. Right now we are in the middle of a ork, tyranid battle with multiple stompas and the tyranid bio titan, yarrick and the fortress of arrogance and 24000 points of IG, its a total slug fest. So thanks for the inputs about using DC. Remember guys, its a game, go have fun.

I have to agree there. I've faced Blood Angels DC once before (1700 points, IG vs BA/Tau). I do believe the Blood Angels player fielded about 30 DC w/ jet packs and the like. Moving them in from the table edge, and using a nicely placed building for cover, (helped by the fact that the Tau hammerhead has a NASTY predilection for popping Bassies and LR) they managed to close with my infantry and wipe them out within a turn of them coming in.

I felt that this was karma getting me back for one time I had Marbo kill 7 Blood Angles Terminators w/ his demo charge in a different game.....Alas.

Basically, I have to agree with everyone else.

1. This isn't a battlereport at ALL. I doubt it even counts as tactics. It's a player feeling like telling us about how he got lucky he got. I do think I saw someone else posting a thread whose sole purpouse was: OMG!!!!11!!one!! I KILLED A SENTINEL! =D ISN'T THAT AWESOME GUYS?!?!?!

2. The Death Company don't 'suck'. They're good when handled properly. This was not 'handling properly'. End of story.
