There'll be a load of reviews available before then, so it isn't as if that trailer is all we'll have to go on.
Personally I am interested in whether it lives up to your expectations. I lost faith in reviews a long time ago, and the last few movies I saw in the theater were a waste of my money and time.
For ensemble acting I'll just pop 'The Departed' into the TV.

If it has good user reviews on Yahoo, I'll go see it. Otherwise, I'll wait for it to be on FX in a year or two. Stratham is the only one that would pull me into a movie.

It will be worth it just to see Terry Crews in a movie that isn't a screwball comedy. Granted, he's really funny (Re: Idiocracy) but I also believe he could play an excellent badass.

Thing is, most people just look to see if a review said a film was good or wasn’t, then act surprised when their opinion differs. And to be fair, there’s lots of crappy reviewers out there who don’t tell you any more than that. But there are plenty of decent reviewers who will tell you about a film, what it focuses on, what its weaknesses and its strengths are. People approach movies from different angles and so you have to find reviewers that’ll talk about the elements of a film that matter to you, but they’ll certainly be out there.
I’ve seen plenty of films that I thought would be bad (other people were really keen on seeing it, or I didn’t mind if it was bad as it would be a guilty pleasure anyway) but the last film I walked into that I thought would be really good and turned out really mediocre was Kingdom of Heaven. And that’s because I didn’t read any reviews.
Oh, and at this point I don't really have expectations. At this point we've got a great hook and a reasonable if unremarkable trailer, I'm going to wait until closer to the release date before I actually start thinking it'll be good or not.
The film I'm buzzed for is Inception - that looks crazy good.
For ensemble acting I'll just pop 'The Departed' into the TV.
That was a terrific movie.

Although I don't mind the other actors (Jet Li has been good in some roles) I think Statham is great in action films. he is one of the reasons I have high hopes for this film.

Personally i love Jason Statham , hes not good looking or anything , but imho , hes the first actor to bring in Hongkong action staunts and choreography to Holywood.
Which would otherwise been done by Jacky Chan in the previous decades.

No, definitely not kidding. The only movie of his I cold tolerate was The Italian Job and he was a supporting character in that one. The transporter movies were garbage and Crank: High Voltage is one of the worst movies of all time. Need I mention In the Name of the King?
If forced to choose to watch a movie with him or a movie with steven seagal, I would probably just flip a coin and try to get a nap.

I haven’t liked any of Jason Statham’s action movies, but he was terrific in The Bank Job. That was a ridiculously underrated movie.

I do like Statham, I think he just needs to broaden his horizons a bit though. This mercenary role should help do the trick because whenever I hear his voice I think "commando" or some kind of special ops guy.

So you were cool with the part where he's humping his girlfriend on the horse race track- during a race? That was the point I could no longer justify watching that movie (in retrospect it was sad it took me that long to turn it off). That movie had no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

But generally, A-list stars can't pull off action hero stuff very well. It could be worse, at least they spent some money on casting this one. They could have gone with the likes of Michael Dudikoff, Gary Daniels, Olivier Gruner and Marc Dacascos. I shudder at the thought of the quantum suckitude that cast would whip up.
