As of the new codex, Hormagaunts can breed on their own, rather than needing ships to spawn more, though it isn't clear as to whether it is sexual or if they just lay eggs/have young without the fun first.

I guess that since they're genetically engineered and thus arguably perfected and artificially evolved, there would be no need for genders, since the whole purpose of fertilisation is to add new genetic material.

Huh... I had no idea. I guess they took that bit of fluff to the extreme

I'm sure it's like they 'kiss', then a blob of life matter comes out of each of their mouths. That's how I'd assume they'd do it, since having genitalia can be a weakness on the battlefield. Also, tyranids seem to everything with their mouths, even though they have 6 apendages. I never understood this
