Why don't they just make a battle force of the new models? People seem to love horrors in 40K (can't see why, I'm a plaguebearer/bloodletter man myself), bloodcrushers are great in both games, seekers are good in both (banner that forces an opponent to only hold when charged in fantasy, 5 rending attacks PER model at 17pts each in 40k), and a prince that works for both games (a 375pt prince that always strikes first, and re-rolls failed rolls to hit and wound is a fun toy on the table and princes in 40k...do I really have to say anything else?) A box set of just these models belong for anyone who plays both fantasy and 40k-all of them are VERY useful in at least one or the other, if not both. With the new model prices they can still charge 90 for a 40 dollar value or 105 for a 25 dollar value-all useful models, decent price saved. Worst case scenario a person hates one set of models and sells it online-even sold at half price it more than makes up for the initial cost. Seems like a "win-win" to me...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

Not really since most people are going to buy these models anyway, GW would make less money.

HEY!!! I've got almost 4000 pts of Papa Nurgle's goodness, and although they may not be the most tactically solid army possible, they have got to be the most annoying to play against. I play 'em just for the fun of it! LOL!!!

I was (attempting to) making a joke at Le Grognard's expense over the 'oyster in the shorts' comment.

A Nurgle Daemon army was NASTY indeed.

Well, it was last edition - I've no idea how they do in 8th!

I like the plastic DP and the Changeling, but these aren't quite enough to get me back into my Demon army. I'm sorta disappointed with the horrors.

Unfortunately, the main topic of this thread seems to have been quite the false alarm. There does not seem to be a Daemons Battleforce in sight. This is the only place I have seen this rumor, so I wasn't expecting it to be true, but it would have been nice.

At the two GW stores I visited last weekend the Daemons did not sell like crazy as I'm sure was hoped by the company. Summer vacations kept a lot of people out of the stores and what sales there were seemed to focus as much on existing popular items as they did on the new Daemons release. Those who speculated that sitting on that Daemon Prince model for two years after first showing pictures of it was a mistake may have been correct. And that was the model that GW was counting on to be the "biggie" of this release, they stocked as many or more of those in their stores as all the other new releases combined. It will be interesting to see how the Bloodcrushers do in two weeks.

I'm pretty sure the OP was right.

Yesterday, I went to the Games Workshop in the mall looking to see if they had that new Halo. They didn't, but there was a guy from Cinnabon in there, and he told me he read a post from a guy on Warseer that a GW manager had told his friend that his cousin told him that there was going to be a giant battleforce coming out next month - it's going to be combined Chaos Daemons & Dark Eldar. He saw some greens, too.

I'm stoked at this wholly-reliable information.
