As for him being a mercenary, there isn't really anyway he could get into the planetary system.. and mercenaries don't tend to have entire armies.

Nit-picking time..
Commissar's are trained exclusively at the schola progenium as far as I know, and so you cannot start off as a guardsman and then become a commissar. And Commissar's don't change profession to become colonels - while I realize you wrote mercenary, I think you should change your characters' fluff to something like the following:

Graeme was born to a noble family on Naruke II, but during the Tyranid invasion in 999.M41 they were all killed by a Tyranid invasion - but he survived because he was rescued by Imperial Guardsmen fleeing the planet during the evacuation. He was later inducted into the schola progenium. He graduated to become a stormtrooper, and later a Commissar. He is currently a Commissar assigned to a platoon in the Imperial Nucian forces. Ever since his family were killed by Tyranids, he's had an uncontrollable hatred for them, and is eager to return to the planet of his birth in search of any Tyranids so he can exact vengeance.

Also, to fit in with what I've written above for you and the timeline of the whole RP, could you also make him aged 27-30? It'd just make much more sense.

I only suggest this because it will make it much easier for your character to interact with other characters, join in with the RP more and etc etc.

I'm OK with the hellfire rounds, but remember your character won't have an endless supply of the ammunition.

Character bio/background story: Was present during the last war on Naruke. Got sent off of the planet on a charge of losing a super-heavy vehicle under his command. ( WoA 1st timers will get this. ). Sent back as part of a penitence mission for losing said Hellhammer and for experimenting with tech.

And Grambo, you're welcome. But may I make a suggestion - I've seen your writing in another RP thread; so I think that perhaps you should write your in character posts in microsoft word/equivelent and spellcheck before posting? Nothing personal, I tell it to everyone whose grammar might not be the best.

And going off what you wrote in the other RP - remember speech marks and whatnot.

He isn't a special character in this RP, he's just what and who he is. Besides, Mephy has much to teach him.

I advise against using an established character. at least not in detail. Say he is present at certain battles and such but don't directly involve him.

I will be using him, however only Arkus and other BA's will know what is passing between them, so none of the other characters will know what they're saying.

I am very protective of the Nucians............the only Nucians established were the rouge Nucians....and I most certainly do NOT! have any Imperial Commissars in that Army......sorry bud, but you've got some bio editing to do......

Tbh, if you want, I could just get rid of all the stuff about the nucians and Nikev and you could just have him coming back because he heard about the expedition heading back there and he felt sentimental, and he got to go along with some Nucian troops because a certain friend in the inquisition who was there during the Tyranid invasion had a few contacts..

haha, nah its all groovy, thanks though. I'll just think of some other reason(like I did in the first one) for the Nucians to go there a second time.....well....technically....I never found what I was looking for on the first War.

An army with no order is a band of vagabonds that are doomed to fall on the field of battle by those who prepare. Just because they are rouges doesn't mean they are without order. They pretty much fight with the same tactics as a regular Imperial Guard army except with a few changes because they fight alongside eldar and must accommodate accordingly.

@NIkev - changed the OP fluff, hopefully it's better for everyone now.
@ VScott - Hope you haven't abandoned us completely yet.
@ everyone else - last week of the summer hols, I think I'll kick everything off, that is, assuming everyone'll be back by then.

Biography - Exiled from the Blood Angels chapter due to a single, cataclismic decision that ruined him. He was a good warrior, but on the doomed world of Erkus IV, he chose to detonate missile silos on the planets surface, destroying a large Ork force, including the Waaagh!'s Warboss. However, he also caused the death of 30 of his battle brothers, an unforgivable crime. After, he went where he wilt and did what he wilt, still fighting in the name of the Emperor whenever he could. Otherwise, he was guns for hire in the Imperium, working for whoever could get him wargear, information, transportation or whatever he requires. In 999.M41, he found himself on Naruke II, fighting with thousands of Imperial soldiers and a company of Red Scorpions, defending the planet against Nurgle Daemons and Chaos Astartes, a Tau colonist force and a tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan. Naruke II was lost, thousands of Guardsmen died along with even more civilians, and the Red Scorpions battle company was heavily depleted, down to only a couple dozen men, with many of their vehicles destroyed. Arkus remained behind, parting with a then recently acquainted Nucian Commissar, Nikev. Arkus, and the Dreadnought Zindler, fought against thousands of Tyranids assaulting the final strongpoint that the rest of the Imperials had evacuated in the capital city. Zindler was eventually overcome by a raging Carnifex, his reactor-core going critical and taking many Tyranids with him. Arkus succombed to the Black Rage, but, like the Blood Angels' chief Librarian, Mephiston, managed to control it. When he was fighting who he believed to be Horus and his traitor marines, he was really tackling the Tyranid Hive Tyrant and all the beasts it commanded. He defeated all the Tyranids that stood in his path, until the Hive Tyrant was dead. Following his experiences defeating the Black Rage, in which he believed he had been approved of by the Emperor himself, he became a fearless warrior. After that, he fought for roughly fifteen years, fighting against the Tyranids, Tau and Traitor marines that remained on the planet. The planet was invaded many times, and amongst others, rampaging Ork warbands fought across the planet with rogue humans, Daemons, Kroot and all manner of other creatures. The planet became a gladitorial fighting ground where the strongest went to prove themselves in those cultures that value martial prowess strongly. Arkus defeated all who stood before him, slaying Kroot shapers, Ork Warboss's, Chaos champions and anything else that got in his way.
