Well, I've never used them in my chaos army, but now that you bring it to my attention I think I'll use them. They're slow and purposeful, which makes them useless to me. It's why I stay away from them.

Anyway, Vespids, rough riders, striking scorpions, pariahs, possessed marines, nurglings, whirlwinds, lysander,DOM, land raider crusaders, deathstrike missile launchers, catachans as a whole, the nightbringer, all dark eldar.

That's only a fraction of the things I hate, for one reason or another.

Necron Warriors. There's TONS of them, they get back (most annoying ability in the game, nothing more frustrating than killing a bunch of dudes only to have them get back up and shoot at you). They also have gauss weapons that can always glance vehicles on sixes, making my strategy of combat squadding Terminators and driving 5 with a Land Raider and deep striking another 5 in later completely useless. Also C'tans are ridiculous.

I may be a BA player, but I hate Mephiston too. While I think the statline isn't TOO ridiculous (Look at what the Necrons get with the C'Tan) his size is. I really think it would have made more sense to have him be a Psyker Libby Dreadnought. Our characters don't have a lot of variety, and that would have been a help.

Other than him, fething Ork Nobz using wound allocation.

ALL OF MY HATE.

Yes, Mephiston is evil.

Another evil thing is loads and loads of 20-strong units of Bloodletters flooding your lines after appearing about 6" away.

However, I'm not moaning because I do it!
Also, it's not really all that OP because I always lost 50% to deep-strike mishaps... that table hates me!

This is Daemonic Cheese:

3000 Pts
2500 Pts
1000 Pts (And growing)

I'd put a quote here, but XKCD would have a better one.

And this is why Daemon armies aren't as ridiculous as people make them seem. Yes, you can have a unit of Daemonettes rip the living gak out of a few MEqs, but you also have an equally good chance of them scattering and losing the whole unit in the blink of an eye.

Mephiston...and almost anything else from the new BA codex like psyker dreadnoughts or flying land raiders!

Join the Imperial Guard. The pay's lousy, the battles fierce and you probably won't ever come back again. BUT you get a lasgun.

Depends on which army I'm facing. But usually it's a combination. Say, autocannons and AP3 large blasts.

What are you running?

There are ways to take down Necrons, it's not terribly hard, but you kind of have to know what you're doing. Many new players get flustered by WBB and Gauss weapons and don't realize that they're no tougher than Marines. You just gotta kill them in the right order so that they don't pop back up.

Indeed, Phase Out is, in its current incarnation, a rather strong drawback.

Especially since 25% of an army can still win a game, especially if it just holds down enough objectives.

I really hope with their next codex update they tweak Phase Out, although I feel like it's a major part of the character of the army, and probably shouldn't be removed altogether.

I always felt that it would work better as once you reach 25%, you roll a dice. First time, 3+ and you stay. Every turn after, add one, just like the rules for continuing a game after 5 turns.

But this is Proposed Rules territory, and this is a General Discussion thread, so meh.

They're pretty nasty against older armies, but against fifth edition armies they aren't quite so bad.

I think that a lot of the Necron hate is from people that read on the internet that they suck and are surprised when they get their ass handed to them in real life.

My most hated unit? The humble Ork Boy. They aren't broken, but they beat my Space Marines and Necrons like circus monkeys and are damn hard to get rid of when there's 30 of them with a KFF nearby...
