it seems that I might have been kicked off of Mini War gaming over these Angry Marines, I'm not 100% that's what it was, but that's the only thing I can think of, so before that happens here, I would hope someone would give me some sort of warning before these Angry Marines get me in trouble again.

this was the guy I was working on last night as the start to my Mean Marines squad, the theme I want to do is that these guys can't be killed, they just can't and so I was going to do examples of that. Now I'm thinking I'd rather them look tough, then funny, so I'm going another route. But I will finish this guy up just for the sake of doing it, he's drying right now.

I doubt it was because of the Angry Marines, did you talk to any of the mods over there?

I doubt it was because of these little guys, you didn't do anything wrong in that thread at least. You must've done something against the rules somewhere else.

Anyways, I'll be keeping up with this project over here now, haha!

For the new guy, I think you might've gone a bit overboard on the guts. My brother has been starting on a Nurgle army, so I've seen a lot of Death Guard in the past week or so, and your new marine has more guts than anything that I've seen in that research.

I do like the new direction you said your going in though. Angry rather than comical is definately where you should be heading.

Another question, why no freehand on the squad? Usually on Angry Marines they have saying and insults on weapons and such. I think it'd fit in swimmingly with your guys, and I know you've got the skill to do it!

Just a passing thought, but if you're going for the whole "yeah, just try and kill us pal!" look, why not have a marine throwing his own head at the opponent? That would be quite characterful

to tell the truth, I don't think it was the Angry Marines either, but for the life of me, I can't think of any other reason. If fact I got a warning early on from one of the mods saying that you can't do this "F$%%^ $#$U" so I said ok, no problem, thanks for the warning, but it was weeks after that, that I got banned, and the only thing I did in the meantime was post pics of the Angry Marines. Now my IP address is blocked. And it's a shame too, cause I think I had a pretty good chance of winning their mini of the Month with my Maneater.

oh well, I'm just hoping to get some kind of answer on it.

as for free handing more swearing and whatnot on the Angry Marines, it's funny that you should bring it up, cause I was actually trying not to be too offensive for exactly that reason, that and the fact that you don't have to go over board on every project, even when they expect you to.

either way I'm still happy with this unit and I'm looking forward to doing another, but it has to go on the list cause I've got no less than five other projects that need to be done before the end of the month, plus my Primarchs and my Wolves.

As for the Mean Marines, let's here some ideas. the theme is simply that they don't die, even when they should, even when they're asked nicely, nothing overly crazy like the one I did last night, but I'm thinking spikes and bare arms and crazy weapons, (game legal weapons) if possible. Maybe some unique Armour or methods of staying alive

and the colors, that's the biggest issue, sooooo many colors and color patterns have already been used, that there's not much left, but I do want these guys to stand out, and I would prefer bright colors instead of black or dark colors.

are they suppose to be made of Iron? I don't remember reading that in their codex.

looks like we were both right, the admins in the other site says it was just a mistake and now everything is as it should be.

The laws of physics mean nothing to the Angry marines, Sgt. Kickassius famously threw HIS OWN HEAD at an Eldar Farseer, he still managed to bite off the Eldar's face then rip off her arms and beat her to death with them.

I think that'd be a more realistic solution to beating someone to death with his own head.

Might I make a suggestion for an angry marine?

Have you seen the new Daemon Prince to be released? The arms (without weapons) always appear to be having the middle-finger extended Try using one of those for an especially angry marine...

here's another Angry Marines that I'm working on for the next unit.

Is there anyway way we can convince you to make an angry dreadnought? It would be soooo cool.

I love it...makes me wish I thought of it....

it wouldn't take much convincing, just time and money but yeah I do want to do one along with some of the special characters.

I will get around to it when I can though. I'd like to do this guy.

Four plasma cannons could never kill a dreadnought. You need at least 7 to blow him up.
