Just checked the sign-ups and there is one slot remaining. If anyone is interested in getting the last slot please contact Keith at Aero ASAP.

Hopefully this means I get a bye every round. I made the mistake of putting together opponent's potential armies in army builder and now everything I can build looks terrible. Hopefully Abaddon can save the day!

Hulksmash has won Sprue Posse Open #5 by piloting his Logan-wing Space Wolves list to victory with a 3-0-1 record. Hulksmash defeated Orks, Chaos Space Marines, and Crimson Fists on his way to the finals and then played reigning champion Yakface's Kan Wall list to a draw in the last round of Swiss to secure his tournament win and a trip to the Sprue Posse Invitational in December.

Full standings and round results can be found here.

Photos and Full Army Lists will be posted soon.

Congratulation to Hulksmash and all the finalists for Sprue Posse Open #5!

Wow! There is not an ounce of fat in any of those lists. Pure pain all the way. Looks like a great event, wish I could have made it.

Hopefully you guys do this on a weekend I can make soon, looks like fun.

Also, closer would be nice. You mentioned doing it elsewhere possibly in the future?

Gothgar,

I'm probalby heading out to the one on Oct 23 and I'm on the way from your area. If you want to meet up in my area I'll drive the rest of the way.

I like the West LA location because that suits me great from a proximity standpoint and most of the local competitors. What I wish we had more of was space. I'd love to run a 16 slot tourney instead of just 12. If I can find a location that accommodates 16 people I may consider hosting one of these at that location sometime next year IF I'm confident those extra slots will be used. I also can only drive so far on a Saturday morning. Deep inland empire is probably out of the question. So far I haven't found a location that meets that criteria

yeah, Hulksmash's list was a ballbuster. It was the only loss of the weekend for my Crimson Fists 6th company. Mobility does no good when everything has a 48" range and makes my t5 the same as a grot :-/

I think next time I will bring a hammer. ;-)

Hammer didn't work to great. I had 2 really hard fought matches against Orks oddly enough. Not enough marine players at this last tournament. 2 Marine and 2 Chaos out of 12 is probably the lowest percentage of MEQ's at a tournament ever

If I make the one next month I'll probably be running my Orks cause it's funny The goal is a no MEQ tournament!!!!

Awesome, I will bring daemons to stay in theme - though I guess my Bikes aren't technically a MEQ army ;-)
