If the conclusion here is that they take one test, then it's the same conclusion they came to on BoLS.

Also, that means that the entire model will die, rider and monster, if the single test is failed.

I think George Orwell was unknowingly describing 40K.

Well yea that is the RAW, why would you expect the guys on BoLS to have come to a different conclusion

hehe, because it's a highly debatable question, as this thread has shown. I can see it both ways. I hope they FAQ this.

Ahh but those who debate it, are just confused, there's a reason ridden monsters are in the "advanced rules" section.

Not so much a case of "unclear" as confusion. The text doesnt acctually leave any wiggle room.

As for BoLS getting something right - that's actually quite a shock, at least for 40k they have a woeful record....

QFT on the BOLS part lol. I have been bringing up the discussion and some people are changing their stance. I don't have any ridden monsters in my army so not a problem for me, but it seems harsh to make them both test on one dice. I know you would only fail on a 6, but wow that would suck to lose both like that.

Aww, C'mon guys, BoLS has good people and good answers. They're also friends of Dakka Dakka.

Hence the gentle ribbing about their interesting ideas on the rules
