Alrighty. Today not to much painting done. Spent some of my painting time at a local gaming store and bought some stuff for basing. So heres to days progress.

These models are coming out absolutely gorgeous! Though I must say that they seem almost too shiny for chaos ^_^

Already ahead of ya. I have a matte varnish spray that i use to seal all of my minis and it will take away the shinies.

Heres todays work. Started to paint the sguad leader today. And i dont know if anyone else can see this But his mask totally reminds me of Frankenstiens mask from Death Race!!

I believe i stated it earlier in the beginning of this thread but i have all armies over 3k except chaos marines and chaos, dark eldar, and guard. I like Tau for their flowing lines. They look really smooth. I really want to get an orca. I am a die hard marine fan though. If i had to choose only a single army it would definitly be them.

Hmm Im not to far into this project to change colors ill look into it.
EDIT better yet i think i will paint one up. I looked at them and researched the background and it looks like this opens up the doors for some conversion work and perhaps even Magnus!!!

Sorry no update today. Kinda sucks too because i am so ready to convert and paint a pre-heresy Thousand son. Had my parents come over to see the baby and then me and the wife went for some vietnamese food. With definitly have pics up tomorrow of a preheresy Thousand Son.

Alright. After seeing the pre heresy idea i thought ide give it a go. Heres the first stages. Just to let you guys know i will probably ditch the old cathedral looking shoulder pads for the ridged ones. Also working on a different helm at the moment. Feel free to comment on this also i will continue to paint the rest of the squad as post heresy. I will just be making this one special marine pre-heresy. Partly because my 8 years worth of bits i could have done all the minis with is in alaska. :(

Hey dakka. Sorry for the lack of updates the past 2 days. My brother came home for pre deployment block leave so Ive been doing stuff with him. So this is the continuation of the pre-heresy thousand son. Ditched some ideas and came up with some new ones. It a tad rough right now. Also the pike he is holding is kinda temporary. The blade part i carved from glued together sheets of plasticard and the pole for now is just a flat piece of plasticard. I will be getting plasticard tubes here soon to finish it. C&C please. If you have any suggestions or questions feel free to ask. Here it is.

Yes they are. I am doing post heresy 1k Sons And 1 pre heresy model. The model with the extensive conversion work will be the pre heresy one. The rest i am continuing to do post heresy for the lack of time and supplies i currently have in my possession. On that note, i will have new updates soon. My brother and family are gone now and i can continue my work.
