I really like 'em! I've been wanting something like this for some time, but could never really make anything that satisfied me. Very happy to see you putting out a good-looking and durable product.
Cheers!

thanks for the pics. Acrylic does have one drawback in that it tends to shatter like glass, have you done any drop tests on these?

It doesn't shatter like glass but it is possible to fracture it.
Single piece sections like the roads are pretty much impervious. Snap-together items like bridges are a little more vulnerable but it takes a fall onto concrete hitting right on a corner to damage them.

Absolutely, what 15mm sci-fi system do you play?
I do have a selection of Flames of War items in the pipeline but they're a little way off.
I'm actually most into Heavy Gear Blitz! (In part because I'm their web guy ) which is more 12mm actually (1/144). I'll check the book for 'recommended' road widths and PM you to see how prices would be. If they're reasonable, I can order some samples and review them (As a customer, no "official sponsorship"*) on the dp9 forum.

Scott that is really good stuff going on there. Now I'm thinking of building 2ft x 2 ft tiles with Road on and fitting them together like Space Hull tiles so the Roads would have hundreds of Options. Plus I really want to see a Iron Girder type bridge like the one at Arnhem / A bridge too far. Excellent stuff now on my Xmas list...

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest! |

A standard 2-lane road is 20-24 feet wide. So about 2" at 1/144. Automatically Appended Next Post: mwnciboo wrote: Plus I really want to see a Iron Girder type bridge like the one at Arnhem / A bridge too far. Excellent stuff now on my Xmas list...
The first bridge is going to be available tomorrow - it's only a little one but I think you might like it...

I want to check as the main book for HGB! has some 'guidelines' for roads I'd like to follow...
Checked the book (yay for PDFs!) and it looks like I could probably go up a bit for a 2 lane to 3-4", whihc might mean I can use the 15mm/ FoW size you mentioned. After all, Terra Novans (from Heavy Gear Blitz!) tend to build big, especially as compared to pre-WWII Europe.

Yeah, I think it's time to consolidate these into one thread, both to reduce confusion, and in fairness to other news posters.
So I'm going to lock this one and the other single-product thread, and would ask that further updates go into the prototype thread.
If you are rolling out constant updates, just keep updating that thread. If you are leaving it a month or so between updates, feel free to start another thread for the new month. This way, we don't wind up with multiple threads all running at once with duplicate conversations going on.
