First of all, you know you can't give all 10 Terminators in a squad Assault Cannons in the Vanilla codex, right?

Second, Assault Terminators /= Terminators with Assault Cannons.

Assault Terminators have CCWs.

I suppose all 30 sterns could take combiplasma

though if you have to fire 60 plasma shots at something you're seriously outnumbered!

A lot of those points are derived from ridiculous upgrades, not volume of models. 180 Death Company seems like a lot, but it's no more numerous than a few IG infantry platoons, or 6 full units of Ork Boyz, or Gaunts. I'd say that BA list would take about the same amount of time to play as a 3000-4000 point IG army, or similar value infantry-heavy Ork army.

That's the wicked thing about Space Marines. You're spending 27,000 points on the same number of models as a 3000 point IG army.

I've never calculated their maximum point value within the normal FOC, but I have calculated their maximum number of models.

I dont think it gets more expensive than this
PS this got complicated what with Grotsnik giving the army bodys, wazdakka making bikers troop choices and warbosses making nobz troops but it should be OK

now imagine what could be taken against you

Give each unit of Nobz a fully upgraded Battlewagon instead of Bikes... I think it comes out to a few points more. I could be wrong.

Nope though of it it 10 bikes=250 points
1 Max Battlewagon around 220.. (You can't take a Killkanon upgrade on dedicated transports )

You're right, a maxed out BW without a Killkannon is 230 points, bikes win by 20 points.
