That's exactly what I'm planning. Since the Vulcan Megabolter will extend back through the balcony doors I had planned on putting in, I'll be putting a replacement pulpit on top of the Vulcan for particularly literal sermons.

cool ideas, i envy your ability to built with such accuracy and patience... although i can paint and will get better i´m totally lost when it comes to creating sharp folds and then glueing parts together so that they´re not looking like something from the wastpaper bin...

Er... I didn't. I've been out of the hobby for a while, but no significant periods without internet access that I can recall.

It looks like you have the building from scratch thing down pretty well but if you wanted a kit for the top of the giant tank the building looks a lot like the sketch you made up. I love this kit.

I've actually got that kit sitting on my desk right now. I could use it for this project, but I'd prefer a different shape for the roof, something more like this. Plus, if this works it means I'll be able to make more Gothic buildings if I want, or share the plans here.

Day 27:

I've got the plans for the second unique hull about half done, and made a little bit of progress on the Shrine. I'm also getting some more Repressors built, for the Battle Sisters squads.

Day 53:

It's been a while, but I haven't given up yet. I'm still working on those Repressors and the Shrine.

Here's the current progress on the Shrine, and the design for the building itself, including the decorative frames I haven't added to the actual model yet.

That might be sooner rather than later. I've just found out about GW's Superheavy Competition, which ends in 38 hours. I'm taking this as a challenge, and I'm going to see what I can get done by then.

If you get it all finished by the time is up, you could have a good chance of winning. (although this is GW we are talking about and the person who wins will probably have had to use 6 or so banebledes to make the super heavy tank that wins overall)

Great work on the shrine! How well do these paper models paint?

I've tried spray-painting the prototype Repressor, and they seem to be sturdy enough not to warp. The areas that aren't reinforced by cardboard or joints tend to be rather small.

Love the Shrine. I've been working on a kit-bash for a Cathedral for my Inquisitor Lord, have a beat-up old Landraider/Crusader chasis needed work - so I've been tearing it up. Love your paperwork, look forward to more pics.

Thanks. I'm going to get the first of the round windows done, then I'll take another photo.

Does anyone have any input on the decorations? The tiled fleur-de-lis, the Fiery Heart stained glass windows or the Imperial Eagle on the door?

Incredible work! I especially love the rolling cathedral. The measurements and construction of the tanks though are top notch, look foward to seeing the details you add to them!

as for details why not try and do a mosaic , less gothic but lots of 40 artwork has a romanesque feel. or maybe gold leaf gilt, like a reliquary , i suggested this to someone eles building something similar bet smaller, this ones from the catherdral at koln http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cologne_Cathedral_Shrine_of_Magi.jpg , you could also do stautues of saints maybe.

this makes m laugh (not meant mean) but the gothic style architecture is a style that tries too grab the feel of the more romantic era. so art wise you say less romance and add in more romance can you see the contradiction

so when tring to help someone i helped myself^^

what goes around comes around^^

Day 56:

Since I'm not going to get the tracks done in time to submit this, here's the progress on the tank so far. I've got everything except the back end of the Vulcan designed, I just have to print one more page, and assemble a whole lot of stuff.

@ fatty re read please ;-) , ROMANESQUE like archetecture from Rome not Romantic, i know very well the romantic Gothic connotations of its style, superceding the the actual Romanesque style of cathedrals without vaulted ceilings and much thicker walls , unlike the Gothic with high vaulted ceilings and thinner walls alowing the more romantic sweeping elongated style , ascociated with grace , and also allowing the use of stained glass windows ;-) although i was incorrect i shoud have said Roman like , not romanesque as to avoid any confusion , with the archetectural styles . no harm done

no harm done. i just realised that there are some gothic influancec in this model. the arche door and windows are some thing karacteristic for gothic architeture.
