In mine, there is nothing wrong with it that one permanent ban couldn't considerably alleviate.
If I visit a town and get mugged, then talk to the police who assure me that there isn't any mugging in their town, then I will avoid revisiting that town. If you, as the principal mod active in YMDC don't see an issue, then I am left with a choice to make about usage of that area of the forums I guess.
I'm going to hip you to something I learned the hard way: Dakka doesn't care about you. Yak, the mods, the staff... they don't care if you're happy. they don't care if you post. They don't care if you read. Unless you are the dozens of new members and thousands of visits a day, you are at best an irritant and at worst a problem for them.
That's not necessarily a knock on the mod team. It's not how I'd run a site, but there might be good reasons for doing it that way. The point is, don't waste your time complaining. don't' report threads, don't post good content unless you simply feel like it, and above all: don't get emotionally involved. You'll never gain anything by posting usefully, and if you have any good content it would be in your best interest to post it on a blog where you keep control of it anyway. Enjoy Dakka for what it is, but realize that you mean nothing to it.
