I switched minis. I'd been focused on LOTR for months. This week I realized I've had Space Hulk sitting around for a year unpainted and decided this week to knock 'em out. It's been fun as I look forward to playing the game with painted marines and genestealers instead of just Red plastic vs. Blue plastic.

Another strategy is to set a goal with a deadline. After my Space Hulk excursion this week (I should be done painting by Friday), I'm looking forward to working on my WOTR Uruks and Elves and having them ready for a battle come late Oct. early November-ish. The idea is to have two armies so if someone wants to play I won't have to wait for them to buy or paint up an army.

For Christmas time, who knows? We'll see what the new Dark Eldar and possibly Grey Knights have to offer. Just keep switching it up. If it gets overwhelming, take a break and do something completely different.

Maybe I'm a fanatic, but I've yet to tire of this hobby. Hell, my wife wears Khorne and Nurgle ear-rings made from daemon banners. If you count my two Warlord titans, I've got about 16,000 points of space marines, 10,000 points of orks, 2000 of daemons;, 1000 Chaos space marines and my new Dkok army is going to START at almost 20,000. I'm building heavy mortars right now actually. lol

My friends at work are into it, so that's the bulk of our conversations, and we bring our stuff into work to show each other. I also run a website dedicated to geeking the hobby out even further by building models of our models... I even make computerized cutout versions to be run through robotic cutters. So no burnout here!

Paperhammer40K FTW!

Never read 40K forums. They are populated by trolls.
