AS you can see from the detailed pics the construction is relatively simple.
Assemble 2 Defiler Body sections.
Saw off the front mandible holders on one section and just the rear off the other section (see pic of underneath for where i mean). Glue these 2 sections together and add a torso back piece to the rear of the assembly.
Assemble legs as normal (all 8, cause scorpions actually have 8 legs FW not 6 duh!)
Glue one battle cannon together and saw off the round section that would normally mount it into the defilers torso. Do not saw it to make it flat but instead take a downward cut through the circle so that the cannon points up at a slight angle. The cannon should fit between 2 prongs at the front of the body section.
Remove the front scoop sections from a DE Raider and then saw directly (from nose to rear) down the centre line of the remaining body section. Also remove the pilots seat and top fin. Attach to the top of the scorpion body section so that the 2 sawn edges meet in the centre.
Trim the excess plastic from the scoop sections so that they neatly sit on either side of the battle cannon and glue in place.
Glue 2 flamer cannons to either side of the Battle cannon and attach 2 claws underneath these.
Remove the centre braces from the DE Raider foot plate and place on either side of the Scorpion body. Turn them upside down so the vents point upward, glue in place at a upward angle (to make this easier put the legs in place to hold this section up while it sets).
For the Sting tail take 2 of the Defiler Arms and saw the "thumb" claws and round mandible attachment points so that the 2 pieces can be placed flat against each other at this, also remove the 1 set of prongs from one arm. Assemble the CC weapon arm holder (this is what will hold the gun weapon) trim the hollow end so the arm will glue into place on the end of the tail section. For my guns i used the 4 reaper cannons and a spare cannon from a predator kit. i'll leave this section up to you, assemble as you see fit! The tricky part of the tail is the mounting point, i managed mine with more luck than anything else! You want to trim a 90 degree angle from the bottom circlular hinge and glue an armour plate to the inside edge, now before it sets place the sting into the rear of the body assembly so that the spikes on the back of the sting hold it in place while the front armour plate holds it upright, this will be a bit fiddly but when you have it just right place something under the sting to hold it in this position till the glue sets.
Now finally to add a bit more bulk to your body section add the remaining arm plates however you like and add spikes and other gory chaos bits for that Khornate look!
hope this helps you would be Scorpion builders out there!! ^_^
