I already have a fairly large fantasy demons army been playing them a long time so converting them to play in 40k would be some base swaps / magnetization and making crushers and soul grinders. Have everything else. I need. Just getting around to converting crushers for a fun army has been a problem.

Alright so here's round 4!

Opponent- Dave Johnson, I've played Dave once before and squeaked out a win with my tyranids, but now he's playing orks, an army that I can easily out combat so he will have to play smart to pull through. Regardless it was nice to see a familliar name on the sheet after 3 grueling rounds I wasn't up for another tense cut throat game of warhammer.
Army- Orks

His list
Biker warboss
Bigmek- KFF klaw

2 units of 5 lootas
15 burnas

1 unit of 20 orks
2 trukk boys squads in trukks
1 squad of 15 or so grots
5 or 6 nob bikers

2 units of 1 deff koptas with buzz saws

2 battlewagons

Mission- Its daemons and orks no one gives a crap but for those losers who believe in tactics and strategies it was objectives.
Deployment- pitched again?

I won the roll for first for the first time all day and happily gave it to him.

He deployed with 1 loota squad on each flank and the 4 tanks off on 1 side and the nobs and warboss on the other side. I dont even know where the deff koptas are lol.

His Turn 1
He moves up. He keeps his tanks on one side and his bikes on the other.

My Turn 1
I want both thirsters 1 crusher 1 fiend 1 horror and 1 plauge and i get it! Everything lands prety perfectly the horrors in the middle of no mans land plauges back on an objective both thirsters pretty far off on the flank with the bikers the crushers more forwrd then them on the same flank and the fiends behind them. Horrors bolt a deff kopta and kill it.

His Turn 2
He moves up with his tanks and has his nob bikers and boss charge the crushers. He brings me down to 4 crushers and a total of 5 wounds left. So he caused 7 after combat res where I did 1 maybe 2? Noy so good.

My Turn 2
More crushers come in off the other crushers icon and 1 grinder comes in off their icon also the crushers behind the nob combat the grinder in front protecting my flank from all the orks in tanks. Both thirsters charge into the nob bikers and make them flee after combat res. The fiends charge 1 battle wagon with 20 orks and a trukk with 12 and wreck both of them also a deffkopt who they dont kill so that they cant get shot next round. Fiends goal accomplished, stall the rest of the ork army.

His Turn 3
His nob bikers are running away. He has 40 or so very angry orks charge my fiends and rape them up the face. His burnas continuue heading for my army but are too far away to warrant disembarking.

My turn 3
the other grinder comes in and the 2 both templat the ork hordes. Then the one grinder also charges a squad of orks and does a number on them. The 2 thirsters charge the battlewagon with burnas and wreck it. Plauge bearers come down next to the bikers to keep them running.

His Turn 4
His few remainging orks try to pull something out, but ultimately accomplish nothing. The burnas put a few wounds on a thirster after charging but they also lose their big mek.

My Turn 4
The other grinder comes in and the other thirster flies over and finishes off the boys so that all i have left to deal with is lootas. The crushers get to the burnas an make them poof.

His Turrn 5
whatever he can do. He kills a squad of plauges!

My turn 5
Table him. Capture those objective things that are supposedly important.

Well it was a very fun game. And the bat rep probably doesn't do Dave justice. It was his first time playing daemons too so he was bound to be in for it.

Well that was day one. For those who care after this I went with my buddy george to grab something to eat then got bak to the hoel around 11:30 and I had to write a paper for school YAY PLANNING! Well I made it to silver bracket in day 2 so after 5 or so hours of sleep I'll be ready for 3 more games right?

Awesome. Bloodthirsters destroy nob bikers. I was glad to read about such a glorious counter charge. Also, your use of fiends seems to be pretty perfect. Multi-assault vehicles, and hit one group of infantry with one fiend. Good idea.

Aplogese to everyone I've been very busy!

Round 5
Opponent- Angelo something or other
His army- eldar WHOO!!!

His List
Autarch- fusion gun and jump generater
eldrad

2 units of 6 fire dragons
2 wave serpants scatter lasers spirit stones

10 dire avengers bladestorm
wave serpant scatter lasers spirit stones

2 units of 10 guardian- scatter lasers

5 dire avengers

8 warpspiders- and exarch with hit and run

2 fire prisms- holofield spirit stones
1 falcon- falcon stuff spirit stones holofields

So its the first mission over again so VP's primary and DoW deployment.

He wins the roll for first an gave it to me.
He also didn't deploy a thing and let his army walk on turn 1.

My Turn 1
I want both thirsters 1 fiend 1 crusher 1 grinder and 1 plauge. Not knowing where he's going I drop the crushers dead center of the board 1 thirster and 1 fiend on 1 flank and the grinder and thirster on the other. Everything is behind cover. Plauges in back.

His Turn 1
6 Tanks and the 2 guardian squads come in on the flank with the thirster and fiends while the warpspiders bounce around on the opposite end of the table. His shooting wipes my fiends... That's bad I needed those!

My Turn 2
Sees me getting a few plauge bear squads! oh dear... I close on his tank fiasco making everything a threat for charging next turn. The grinder shakes a prism. Hopefully I overloaded him with threats.

His Turn 2
He zooms 12 with everything and 24 with the shaken thing. he hugs a table side to avoid being charged by my crushers except for 1 tank. He unloads 5 fire dragons at a thirster and drop it his prisms also bounce off the grinder phew!

My Turn 3
Cavalry has arrived. More crushers come in and anticipate the direction he will have to run by dropping there, that way I'll be able to charge him next turn too even though he will be zooming 24. The other grinder comes on the other flank to deal with the spiders. I make a long hard debate as to wheter the thirster should charge the forawrd at his tanks or hit the spiders, which he would be able to reach. I resolve to hit his tank lone. Horrors come off the crusher icon and blow away the fire dragons that shot me before. Combat sees a shaken wave serpant a wrecked fire prism and a dead guardian squad. The grinder that came in also killed 3 warp spiders.

His Turn 3
He boosts away into the newly arrived unit of crushers, really it was his only move other than to get out... His autarch gets up closr and personal with the grinder and immobilizes it damn...

My Turn 4
Crushers charge 2 of the 3 tanks that zoomed at them (the other 2 zoomed the opposite way towards the spiders) they immobilize 1 and shake the other. The thirster and grinder try to catch up to the other 2 that flew away the thirster gets there but does nothing. The crushers rape the other guardians. The immobilizd grinder fires at the spiders and kills 2 followed by 5 plauge bearers charging killing another 2 and taking no casualties but they hit and run away.

His Turn 4
the Shaken serpant and the ok serpant zoom to my backfield where they are relatively safe. The other tanks move 12 and shoot the thirster accomplishing nothing.

My Turn 5
15 plauge bearers charge the serpant with 10 DA's in it. Surround it completely and after stupid amounts of 6's immobilize it so its wrecked and the occupants cant get out and thus are destroyed. The crushers eat the immobilized serpant. The thirster tries to get there and does nothign to the falcon. I kill 1 more spider with shooting.

His Turn 5
his spiders kill 5 plauges but lose a guy to their jump away move. All his tanks boost to the opposite corners of the board.

My turn 6
Thirster tries to charge the falcon but falls way short the grinder from accross the table launches a phlegm and a harvester at the 1 remaining spider and exarch and kill both.

His Turn 6
He needs [points so he tries to fortune eldrad and charge the thirster with him after all the plinking fire he's down to 2 wounds. Eldrad charges and only does 1. Thirster causes 5 wounds 2 failed and 1 re roll failed and eldrad goes down! the bastard!

Well it ended here something like 1500 VP's to 600 nonetheless a great game even if I did get lucky with my plauges!

Anyway the second day was single elimination so sadly Angelo didn't get to play the rest of the day, but on the bright side I would

The eldar list covered all its bases, it wasnt optomized but it had an answer for everything. Except for like deathstars and such (besides flying away anyway) and thank you extremn! Again you are too kind!
