The point being that shoota boyz are overall more versatile which is a very good thing. It is not always that you want to get out of your wagon, depending on how things are looking. There are often turns where i move 7" forward and shoot with the boyz at a squad while another boy mob assaults it.

Just saying often is shoota boyz better.

Now if you want to play some sluggas you should keep them in a trukk, not in a wagon.

Of course you can survive with a few less boyz against some opponents. A good opponent with a solid competetive list will probably tear this list appart.

Once again, only my two cents.

Do you really think that changing slugga to shoota boyz will make this list so different that competitive lists that would beat so easily slugga list will have hard time with shoota?

Always leave the Gretchin in reserve and hope they don't come in until turn five.

Don't be too disappointed when they are all slaughtered and fail to hold your objective. It'll happen frequently.

Still, it's probably worth trying.

You spread them to avoid templates and take cover... They can last a while... Idea is to be agressive and force opponent to deal with your attackers long enough to ensure survival of gretchins...

This big time. The thing about grots, is when played right, they become such a joke, the other player will simply forget they are there. Think about it, if your boyz are stuck in a CC, and the nobs are hulk smashing vehicles, and Ghaz and what ever he is with is stuck in with your HQ and your starting to sweat, are you really going to plop a drop pod or similar in the rear and attack some grots? Or try and use whatever is in the pod to try and kill off something big?

Onto the new list. Ive never used only 3 buggies in a list of this size. In this area Ive got usually 2 squadrons or 3 if I find the points. The only time I ran 3, was in a much smaller points list, and they didnt fair to well ( granted it was a Hive Tyrant that gave them attention) But the rest still looks solid if you ask me. Personally if I dont have boyz in trukks, they are always going to have shootas. Because when not in a trukk, the shootas are more effective then sluggas. But the sluggas are more useful in trukks.

So what do I do with the buggies? I can drop 4 Burnas too.
