Well I knew that 9+1=10, I always thought that a roll of a 1 on the AP roll always failed to do anything... am I crazy and have been playing wrong?! No need to concede points, though I appreciate the gesture! It was a lot of fun and as the saying goes, I learned a lot more in defeat than I probably would have if I'd won!

Yea you have been doing it wrong. I thought it was wrong but I have played so many games with different rules that I thought well there is a possibility. I check it and was wrong. I should have checked it right away. So for the sake of the game and having good hearted fun, you win. Let's play again...

I got more for you Shadow_Strike. 1000 pts no star cannons on Sunday. Those are usually for space marines anyway. What do you say to that?
I'll play sooner if anyone is up for a game.

Hey Mad Boy...
Remember how we messed up the penetrating hit rolls from before? Well I inadvertantly "got you back." I'm ashamed to admit it, but I thought I had put a piece of equipment on my squad leaders that I in reality did not... Those fancy agonizers were part of the OTHER army list I had prepared; So it turns out that your wraithlord should really have lived through to the end of the game! That probably would have given you enough VPs for the win, if not at least a draw, so I'd be more than satisfied to hand you back the winner's laurel on that one!
All apologies! Other than me being a dumbass and forgetting about that detail, I though it was a good game! I look forward to next Sunday (with a legal list this time)!

Hey guys, Chris here. It was so nice to see so many of you guys I haven't seen in a while. Not to diminish the fun I had chatting with those of you I do see regularly...well anyway. What pleased me even more was to see you guys playiing 40k. I thought it all but died. Now that bball is over for my wife, I've been getting back into warmachine & b5...although I may bring my 40k stuff more frequently as well. Weekends are usually bad for me, but If I can make it up some random weekend, I'll shout out here.

I have to agree with Chris it was good to see you all again. And even better to see so many people playing 40K!!!!! It is great to know that there is now a weekend day for 40K gaming. Not sure I will be able to make it every Sunday, but I should be able to make it every other I think (like this coming up weekend I can not make it but I hope to be able to the weekend after) ..... now I just need to get my butt in gear so I can show up at noon when the store opens so maybe I can get a couple games in.

Bad place to ask about Warhammer Fantasy? My dwarfs are here in Manch (not fully painted but here nonetheless). RAGNAR, if you ever picked up on Fantasy I'd be curious to see if I'd have better luck against you than I ever did in 40k (to the Warp with your Eldar!). I do have some 40k armies but they're back in Far, Far Away Land and I'm not sure when they could be in Manch (Space Wolves and IG). Wednesday afternoons would be great but I can try and accomodate other times. I haven't played in years and would love to do battle again! :S

Hey Zamboniknight! Who are you and where did we play?
I originally started on Warhammer fantasy 5th ed, but found it too broken a system and put it away when I found 3rd ed 40k. I still have my Eldar, though I?ve also played Slaaneshi chaos and Dark Angels in recent years.
I got back into Warhammer when 6th ed came out and haven?t looked back. Great game. I have Slaaneshi chaos and my first love- Wood Elves. I?m going to the Colonial Indy GT in two weeks and have been playing a lot of test games in the last month. I?d be happy to get in a game sometime. Where are you living now, BTW? I?m still in Manchester.

Ragnar, we played a few times at Dakka's first location before they moved across the river. My name's Brian, you might remember my Dark Angel look-a-likes, the Darkhounds. I remember most of the other Dakkites and would love to play any fellow wargamers, but I had several losses to you that made it look like I didn't even try to play, lol :S . I lived in Maine at the time, but now reside in lovely, beautiful, extravagant Manch-Vegas. Haven't played any games in several years and no fantasy games at all since the revision. Loved modelling more than I thought though and have started up a Dwarf army. As before, Wednesdays are great but I can usually find some other time as well!

Oh, hi Brian! I do remember you. Cool. Well, right now the main nights for wargaming in Manchester are Tuesdays and weekends at Empire. Tuesdays are currently hosting a Warmachine league, but there are also other games played- commonly Babylon 5 and 40k. Sundays are becoming a common 40k day- I'm not going to be able to make this coming Sunday, and the following week I'm at the Colonial, but there should definitely be people there looking for games, and I will be back eventually. I'll be at Empire in the afternoon until 6:30 or 7:00 tomorrow, though I have to work at 8:00pm and will be leaving early.
Collectibles Unlimited up in Concord has 40k and Warhammer tournies almost every month, as I just found out, so I may be checking that out too. The Game Castle in Londonderry usually has 40k on Saturdays but also has some warhammer- some guys I know are playing a campaign right now. There is definitely gaming to be had. I will have to see if I have a night free to play your Dwarves sometimes soon, though this Wednesday I have a prior commitment for a Blood Bowl game, believe it or not.
