Heh...Spock always is depicted as having copper based blood, and McCoy always ragged on him for having "Green Ice Water" flowing through his veins .

That being said, I would go with blue or purplish-blue myself. Those colors make the most sense based on the skin tones Tau are depicted as having, and whatever justification you want to use for that is probably fine considering this is 40k we're talking about.

This whole thread reminds me of an old USMC running cadence:

Blood! Blood! Blood Makes the Grass Grow!
We! We! We make the blood flow!

Tau ain't got time to bleed...

General consensus is blue/purple, which looks good enough on the models.

Has anyone considered that it might vary depending on caste?

We're watching you... scum.

Seeing as their skin has a blue tint, shouldn't their blood be blue underneath? Either way, you can justify whatever looks best or make up your own explanation.

A creatures blood color is not directly related to the color of their skin. If they're skin is transparent then maybe but if they are from a planet with sunlight their skin will be affected by whatever wave length is emmited by the sun. Blood color is determined by its chemical composition. So while Tau may have blue skin that dosen't inherintly mean they have blue blood.

I would guess blue or purple, but then again, humans bleed red blood, and the Na'vi in avatar bleed red blood, so until something is said in the codex, we may never know.

Relatively new to the Tau empire, used to play Orks but got tired of having to go into melee combat, also didn't like the painting, tau armour can be any colour, orks just look stupid in purple!
