Here's mine from early last year:
Since then I've added another paintier carousel which has some vallejo air paints on it as well as dividing up the vallejo model color paints a bit more, have added a compressor, clamp and a nicer light.
I really like the way you have your paints organized.

My modeling area started out as an old left over desk in the basement (the one next to the washing machine)
Since then it has moved away from the washing machine because my wife would fold clothes and set them on it, mini’s or not…. Not very fun for me when I have a bunch of mini’s that need to be repaired. It was her way of saying “not another hobby honey” but we got through it.
Now I’ve built a wall, installed some overhead lights, hooked up a computer and soon I will settle in.
I must say, I like Aduro's set up the best, I have to resize my pictures but will post soon.

I like the shelves and set up you have Skalk... I'm not a big fan of keeping my troops in their bag, like the idea of having a few out where I can see them.

Here's mine. I only use it to convert models, I don't have the money to buy the paint set, and my gw store lets people use its paints. But it serves very well for this purpose. Since my version of converting involves sitting down for very long stretches with a scalple, some files, a bit of green stuff and some blu- tac and just putting bits together to see how it would work, it's normally quite a bit messier than this, as there are bits strewn about everywhere. When not strewn everywhere, they are kept in the draws to the left of the screen.
And here's a close up of my army taken at a prior date, which shows off the amount of bits and messnormally lying around.

Very nice Pipboy, I have also been given free reign of the entire basement:
I'm thinking of leaving the walls as-is, but I have noticed that the floor definitely needs to be addressed/sealed as you end up with a lot of gray dust from the concrete getting worn by feet, and it ends up on tables/terrain, etc.
Is your floor finished?

Everything is sealed so no dust other then the normal dust that builds up in a house. So a nice, powerful shop-vac takes care of that. The pic is a few months old. I have added a new three seat leather couch, flat screen TV and HD cable down there. I even have a side-by-side refridge and microwave down there. All I need is a bathroom and I could live down there. The previous owner had a woodworking and painting shop in the basement in a seperate room with plenty of ventilation. I can close the door to that room, turn on the fan and spray paint all year long. Been very lucky so far with this house.

Here's mine. I have one main workbench, another desk, plus a small glass front cabinet. Its in the basement, so it can get cold in the winter, and the lights not so good, but it works.
Sorry for the cruddy cellphone camera pics.
I've been doing this since 3rd edition came out. I've never played a game. I like the fluff and building models. Its taken me this long to get just a decent sized marine army together (4 10 man tac squads, dreadnought, 2 land speeders, 4 man bike squad, predator). Yes, I work slow.
Here's my main workbench. I made it out of a hollow-core door and leftover 2x4s, some leftover wire and wood shelving. To the left of it you can barely make out a small bookshelf with a blue crate on top - my research sources. To the left of that I have a small 4 ft tall case to hold finished stuff.
On the left hand side of the main bench I have some shelve that hold some scratch building materials, paints, etc.
The wire shelves hold more materials, in progress stuff. That white box - it hold stuff to make lightsabers.
Underneath the wire shelves are tools.
I use wood trays you can get cheap from craft stores to hold projects. Usually by unit/group.
Here you can see the AOBR terminators and standard terminators along with a Chaplain in terminator (and a librarian one that is not pictured). Plus that free one that came with a WD once. One of the termies is magnetized to hold a cyclone missle launcher.
This one holds a Vindicator, AOBR tac squad, and AOBR Dread in painting mode. I converted the MM on the dread to a Plasma cannon (old metal one I had).
To the right of the main bench I have an old desk. The drawers hold paints, scratch building materials, tools, instruction manuals, etc. The tall tray case is my bitz box, and the brown circle is a lazy susan I use for applying primer. I use this desk for spare space, assembling, spray painting, etc. Nice to have an extra surface.
Underneath I have my GW to-do. Marines and Nids.
My other to-do pile. Mostly scifi, ships, armor. Its to the left of the main bench on another wall.
I'm soon finishing my basement, and there will be a new wall to the left of the main bench, so I'm thinking of building a wall where the bench is now, and making a new L-shaped one, with lots of shelving.

Since I have been working on my models at my local hobby shop, I have made my paints and tools mobile so that I just pack the stuff up and head down tgere to build and paint as I discuss the games with others, if they want a battle, I will change my bags and head down with an army instead.

Cool thread =) I especially liked Nicorex's pictures, looks like a really cool house with a beautiful location (the woods you could see through the windows). Myself...well, I'm mobile. I haven't been doing this for very long so I still have so little stuff that I can carry it with me and "set up shop" wherever in the house that I feel like. I only have about 10 different paints/washes and a grand total of 60 or so models, so it's all very manageable yet ^^

Ok, a bit more accurate representation of my Mekshop:
I really do try to keep a safe and sane workplace. I've let things pile up before and the chaos that ensues doesn't contribute any benefit. I have the entire room to myself (same room that I have my game table, library, etc) and I manage to keep it pretty tidy and organized.

After looking at all these work stations I decided to re-do mine this weekend, was planning on a couple hours at best but spent the whole weekend rearranging my desk.
My biggest problem is my paints, I need a better way to see them so I know what I have. Plus I think the Mrs. Is going to let me get the Vallejo set for my birthday…. Pretty much have all the GW paints and a few Model Master….
Plus I'm in our basement, getting cold and the electric heater isn't cutting it.... wood stove may be my next thing...
I’ll post up a picture in a bit.

Finally was “allowed” to move my painting and gaming “toys” upstairs into a spare room we have….. finally not in the musty smelling, cold basement……
Redid my desk, added some heavy duty shelves for models and built a sliding paint rack…. Figure I’d share the progress with Dakka…… it holds 9 rows of paints and I used precision draw slides which are cool as heck…. Now I slide my paints into a cubby I really never used other than cramming it full of junk….
Slide in when I’m not painting…… slide out when I am…..
