Apart from the line about being "equipped", which the "ignore that you have no permission to pick just 2 weapons" side repeatedly demote in importance.

The point i made was: either dont attack, as you have no rules allowing you to pick 2 weapons in order to then USE 1 of them, OR accept the "NEVER" restriction as being as absolute as the word "NEVER" implies.

I've said this about 3 times now.....

Again with the picking and choosing which words count as rules. I suppose the 2 CCWs restrictiopn is just fluff? By your interpretation models with 3 CCWs can't attack in CC as they have no rules to follow to do so. Trying to map the 2 CCW rules onto them without allowing the select 2 to use approach isn't RaW, RaI or anything! It is just picking and choosing rules to make up your own game.

The RaW answer is models with 3 CCWs can't attack in CC, which of course they are rrequired to do at heir initiative step. So the minute they get into CC you have to pack up and go home as the game hangs at that point.

Hey,

I agree with Yakface and think you need to choose which weapon to use.
So only by equipping you don't get the extra attack, but I was confused because they have more then 2 arms, so might be able to use more weapons haha.
I'll stick to the basic rules, don't think we need more, because we're awesome already
Thanx guys.

Fling - again with your poor attempt at trolling. WHich part of the fluff are you going to loudly pretend is rules now?

The rest of your post I have dealt with already. Reading is tech, try it.

Nosferatu1001, if you're going to debate rules, do it politely. You have been warned about this before. If you continue this behavior, further action will be taken.

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Why is this debate still going again? Alcohol?

Yak's post clearly shows how GW uses the words "equipped", "armed", "wielded" and "carried" sloppily with regards to weapons, and that the section on special close combat weapons in the game can only function if it is read to spell out different ways two weapons are wielded, as opposed to carried.

To argue otherwise, you pretty much have to support the following concepts:
A) That there is no way for a model armed with 3 or more different close combat weapons to fight at all.
B) That a model "armed" with a power weapon always ignores armor saves in close combat, regardless of whether he is presently wielding it.

If you read the whole page in context, the only sensical and functional conclusion is that the section on wielding different weapons is meant to mean that the model selects up to two weapons out of whatever he's equipped with, and combines them in one of the listed ways.
