Actually, you made it. All I did was wash it with devlan mud
I think it might have been your idea to make it a Terrainofex/ trygon hole after I smacked the trygon off the table as well.

Nice marker and Tyrgon. Markers don't affect LOS, but nice try! If you can convince your local group that markers do block los, then you should make wound markers that are huge -- then your trygons can get cover saves no problem...

Winterman, I'd love a quote on that, if you can!
I generally prefer that if someone says I can't do something to explain to me why with a rules quote.
I'm not going to try and convince anyone at my FLGS that markers block LOS, I just had to convince them that a Trygon's Hole marker did. Generally, that works. I believe wound marker preference is a die at my store, so if I showed up with a mounded deadpile of 40 gaunts glued in a mountain with blood all over it and said it was a wound marker, THAT would be a no. But a modest hole in the ground that a Trygon came out of? That gets allowed by pretty much everyone. It does help that when I separate out my main army from the reserves at the beginning, I clearly say that that is how my trygon is going to work. No one seems to mind. (Or be able to show a rule otherwise if they do mind, so I do it anyway.)

Actually, it's the other way around. If you want to do something, you have to show where in the rules it says you get to. No where in the rules does it say a Marker blocks LOS. Not even a Trygon Hole Marker.

It also says nowhere in the rules that it doesn't. It just says to agree with your opponent when it comes to markers.
The rule book also has no permission for conversions of any kind, if you want to go that route. It all has to look like the figs on the box to be the models you were sold.

Ahh, the eternal struggle between interpreting rules loosely or strictly... Like the constitution!
Some parts of the rulebook are best viewed strictly, like what models you can take. ("The codex doesn't say I can't give my champion a rocket launcher...")
Some parts are best viewed loosely, such as in this case, and scene-ing, and many other points which I haven't the time nor resources to look up...
Either way you look at it, the single piece of scenery isn't that game-breaking, since there's a trygon right next to it that won't receive cover saves from it.
Also, if the trygon player has done everything right, the trygon will come up in the enemy player's units, giving them the cover saves as they attempt to kill the trygon.

If you're playing BA, you get those jump pack termies.
I get a one time terrain feature popping out of the ground, if my opponent accepts it. If he doesnt, the finger to him, I've got a cool model.

Don't get me wrong. While I would never let you use it as actual cover, it is still a really cool model though I think the crater sides are a bit high. I'm filing it away in my brain among the many things other people have done that I use as ideas and inspiration for my own stuff. I've been debating on picking up a Trygon, and actually building it as one, here recently.

Looks cool, and I dont really see a huge problem with it granting cover. Besides, anything behind that, would have to either move around it (which depending on terrain could be pretty tough), OR run through it which can cause its own problems. This almost sounds like the DS LAND RAIDER OH CMON!!!!!!! thing. Yea its cheesy and stupid, but its really not THAT effective.
